Heads up, most of this chapter will be in past tense because I want to summarise the hospital part into one chapter, just so it's obvious that I haven't confused my tenses haha. This chapter is for rainfalll because she's simply queen and daenerysdiaries because she's my main hoe. Alrighty then, bye!

The next week of my life I spend staring at the ceiling, sitting in a hospital bed. Upon my arrival, Dumbledore had rushed off to get both of my parents, leaving me and Draco alone. 'Are you feeling any better?' He asked, looking at me. I turned to him, but I was relatively quiet. I shook my head, continuing to shiver. Suddenly, a nurse came through into the room and snapped the curtain shut behind her. 'Right. Miss Dolittle, yes?' She smiled a sickly smile as I nodded. 'Let's see . . . severe dementor attack.' She frowned as she looked at her clipboard before examining me thoroughly. 'I'd say you're lucky to be alive, Miss Dolittle.' She glanced up at me. 'This won't go away any time soon, you'll probably need to be here for about a week before we can release you. We see events like this rarely when the shock to the system can sap the body of all happiness for days, we can't fix that ourselves, it's natural. However, we can easily warm you up and try to encourage your happiness to come back.'

Once the nurse left, me and Draco were silent for a while. 'I thought it had got you for a moment back there -'
'We need to talk.' I said, hardly above a whisper.
'What about?'
'You and Pansy.'
'What?' Draco snapped, glaring immediately at me.
'You know what. At dinner. She was practically on your knee, flirting like shit.'
'You're joking, right? How do you think I feel whenever I see you hugging fucking Potter?'
'Please don't do this now.' I sighed, feeling even more despair settle upon me.
'You started it!' Draco shouted. 'Famous Potter. Heck, do I wish I could get rid of him.'
'Draco -'

'He would deserve it.' Draco spat.
'Look, all I'm saying is it made me uncomfortable. She makes me uncomfortable. And it looked for a moment like you were cheating on me or something.'
'I wouldn't.' Draco mumbled, giving me a long look.
'Now, if you don't mind, I wish to rest. I've just nearly had my soul sucked out of my body and arguing with you isn't doing me any good.' I huffed, turning onto my side in bed. Draco sat down again, and I felt his cold hand on my shoulder.

Rushed footsteps were coming our way, and I heard the doors fly open. 'Alyssia!' My mother shouted. I turned and looked over and saw her standing there, tears in her eyes, Morgan at her side. Even she looked worried. Then, I saw dad behind her. The sight of them both together made me want to burst into tears, but my emotions were still numb. My mum rushed forward and over to me, crouched down and kissed my forehead, stroking my hair. I noted the fact that Morgan tugged on Draco's robes, and he lifted her, and she crawled onto his knee, looking at him inquisitively every now and again. My dad stood on the other side, holding my hand.

Then, Dumbledore entered with the nurse. 'As Dumbledore has surely told you, Alyssia has been a victim of a very severe dementor attack. I'm sure he has explained that Alyssia was very close to the Dementor's Kiss, but we are very lucky that she was spotted beforehand.'
'Yes, Draco. Should it not have been for you, Alyssia would have been dead.' Dumbledore smiled. I turned my head to Draco. He got Lupin? I though it was a mere coincidence. 'The affects of this kind of attack can vary. The shock levels change depending on the person, and Alyssia is experiencing a very severe level of it, a level that is very rare. This number is often higher in muggle-borns, as often they've never really been told of dementors, and in younger people. Seeing as Alyssia fits both categories, the effect has definitely taken action.'

Once the nurse left, my mum ran over and kissed Draco on the forehead. 'Thank you, she'd be dead if it weren't for you.' She cried. Draco smiled awkwardly.
'The Minister is on his way. Alyssia, I advise you rest.' Dumbledore informed us all. I felt my eyes drooping almost as soon as he said it, and grasped Draco's hand as I started to slip in and out of consciousness, my dreams clouded by images of hooded figures and frozen lakes.
