A/N
Okay, so at some point in this chapter my writing will start to become ridiculously fancy, because I started to read the fascinating Classic Wuthering Heights and the language has given me so much inspiration and extended my vocabulary vastly within the first few pages. So when I go all posh and use fancy, unexplained words, you know why.
MazzieI could not be happier to be on holiday. Me and Hermione had handed our timeturners in and would now have a regular, non-overflowing timetable. The holidays so far have passed quickly. I am going over to stay at Draco's for a week today, and the waiting game is getting on my nerves. It is in the very late hours that I am to be picked up, when it's dark. Draco is going to fly here on his broom and pick me and my things up. Therefore, whilst at Hogwarts and able to use magic, I bewitched my bag so that it carried a small undetectable extension charm, just so I can fit a week's worth of supplies in it rather than just a few day's worth.
When the darkness finally begins to settle on London, it is time to play the waiting game. My mum is waiting up to see me off, and I said goodbye to Morgan earlier because she was sleepy. I'm currently going through my bag, checking I have everything, looking out of my window every now and then for any hint of something moving. Occasionally, I'll get my hopes up, only to realise it is an airplane flying high above us. I frown as I check myself over, desperate to make a good impression. Just as I pop a little more lipgloss on, I see something shoot past outside my window. I look up to see total blackness. I frown and turn back to my mirror. Then, I hear an indefinite thud on my window. I look up to see Draco sitting on his broom, grinning at me. I open my window and sit up on the window sill.
'Why, hello.' I smirk. He grins and flies a little closer to me, and I give him a predominately quick kiss. 'Hey.'
'You'd better get to the door. Muggles don't often see hot boys on flying broomsticks.' Draco rolls his eyes.
'Sure.' He lowers himself past my window and I shut the window, grabbing my bag and rushing down the stairs quietly. Before he knocks, I open the door, smiling. My mum comes into the hall and gives Draco a swift hug, then kisses me on my forehead whilst hugging me. 'I'll be arriving by Floo Network next week, remember.' I smile.
'I won't forget. Have fun, love you.'
'Love you, too.' I take Draco's hand as we leave. Once the door closes, I turn to him. 'Hello.' I smile, giving him a more passionate kiss.
'Good afternoon.'
'It's nighttime.'
'Whatever.' He laughs. 'Have you got everything?'
'Yes.'I hold up my bag. 'That's it?'
'Don't underestimate it.' I smirk. Draco folds his arms.
'What did you do?'
'Let's just say something to reduce the load on the broom.' I grin. Draco chuckles whilst shaking his head, climbs onto the broom. I put my arms around his waist. 'Are you ready?' He asks.
'Yup.' I nod, and with that, Draco kicks off from the ground and we fly high above the houses, me waving back at the window. 'Bloody hell, this thing is fast.' I mutter, and Draco laughs,
'Obviously, Lyssa!' I squeeze my eyes shut when they begin to water uncontrollably, due to the unpredictable high levels of swirling wind high above the twinkling lights of the city of London, and all that is left is the drone of the force of nature within my ears and the sharp sting as the weather contacts my face.It is all of an hour for us to reach the satisfaction of the outskirts of Malfoy Manor, that is with multiple detours of country roads to avoid being observed by muggles. We took a big risk flying over a city such as London, a risk we were afraid was all too dangerous, so we had to prioritise time for a different root, one which Draco became confused over for mere minutes, but we eventually found our way. Now, we fly down toward the earth and bestow our feet upon the gravel leading toward a tall gate, which is black, even against the darkness. Draco peers at me with a vacant look as I gape up at the humongous structure of a house before me. 'Malfoy Manor.' Draco boats, stepping forward, me following his steps as I take in the eerie building before me. 'Come on, mother and father are excited to meet you.'
'Thanks again for talking them around.' I speak, still admiring the house in the dark night's sky. 'Stop thanking me.' Draco mutters, taking my hand. He has to almost pull me along the pathway because I am so mesmerised.
