An Unbreakable Bond

Character Info: Patrick Steele (boy who saves Connor from [REDACTED])

Patrick wasn't very old, 13 years, when his father got a promotion to Lead Scientist. His dad was an older fellow, in his mid 50's, and was one of the brightest minds on the newly-colonized planet "JV-537". Patrick's father was working in the robotics division in New Terra when Patrick came running through the lab, excited about a present from his grandmother, who was off-world.

His father had warned him time and time again not to run in the lab, but he never listened. Today, March 17, it would cost him dearly. He tripped over a group of wires scattered lazily on the floor, falling over the railing onto a synthetic assembly line.

I'll spare you the gruesome details. He lost his arm, his left lung was crushed, and his ribs ware broken. Through a "lucky coincidence" one of the workers found him before his head was crushed. He was taken into the facility's med-bay, but wasn't expected to recover.

Mr. Lawson, the leader of New Terra, approached Patrick's father with a solution. He was attempting to fuse man and machine together, making the worlds first half synth. The idea sounded absolutely insane at the time, but William (Patrick's dad) agreed.

The surgery was a success, and When Patrick woke up, he immediately noticed. His mechanical parts were covered in synthetic skin, which felt identical to real skin. He seemed to be much stronger and faster than he had before the incident.

Patrick has since adapted to his new body. Using his strength and speed to help his father with his work.
