I sat on the arm of the chair as he warmed himself up. Finally he stopped shivering and I wrapped yet another blanket around him. Remus looked up at me. Sirius had never looked at me the way Remus had. Remus looked at me in respect.

"So how are you old buddy?" I put my arms around his shoulders in a friendly way.

"Freezing," He managed to say. "Is there any chance you could get me a glass of fire whiskey?" I tiptoed into the kitchen and poured the last of the whiskey into a glass. When I gave it to him he downed it in one gulp. Men, I thought. Always showing off. I settled into the chair next to Remus.

"James told you the news I expect," he was staring into the fire exactly as I had done before. I saw his eyes flick in my direction and nodded. "Quite like a romance novel." His blue lips cracked into a smile.

"Yes, I suppose it is," You know how when you're talking to a intellectual individual you try to sound of equal intelligence almost involuntarily.

"And you and Sirius?"

"Shut up, you know how he is." I playfully punched Remus. "Honestly, I don't think he likes me anymore."

Upstairs Sirius was tossing and turning in his bed thinking about me. He was fighting against the urge to talk to me....

Remus commented on being too warm so I started to pull off his blankets (Yeah I knew where you thought I was going rofl but this isn't R rated) . Then we started chatting again on the couch. Remus was actually a really sweet guy. I couldn't keep my eyes off him.

"So then-" Remus stopped suddenly staring at me. "Then, then..."

Sirius whipped the blankets off of himself and started to run to Lily and my room. He cracked open the door, but saw that I wasn't there. He quietly swore to himself and started to make his way slowly downstairs.

Remus and my lips connected. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him. But then, I must have heard something because I opened my eyes to see Sirius standing, staring at me in disbelief, on the stairs.

As he was coming down the stairs he saw the fire out of the corner of his eye and turned. He saw Remus making out with his girlfriend, me. Inside he felt betrayed, almost used. Should he assume Remus advanced on me and come to my aid or storm upstairs?

I pulled away from Remus as Sirius pulled out his wand. Oh no, was all I could think of.

"Sirius, no!" I screamed as a stream of grey came from his wand. He must have said Alarte Asendare because Remus shot up and collided with the ceiling before coming crashing down.

I cringed at the sound but Remus stood up and counterattacked. He used a blasting curse but Sirius leaped to one side as part of the staircase exploded. By now Lily and James had rushed out of their bedrooms.

"Carpe Retractum!" James shouted and two ropes shot from the tip of his wand. They attatched themselves to Sirius's and Remus's wands and pulled them back to James.

"What happened?" Lily asked staring at the mess the two had made.

"You kissed my girlfriend!" Sirius bellowed at Remus.

"She kissed me." Remus retorted. Sadness flashed in Sirius's eyes as he looked from me to Remus and back.

"Tori!" Sirius stomped to the front door. "Get out here. We need to talk... in PRIVATE!" He made sure everyone had heard that part. I dragged myself out the door and into the yard. Sirius stretched out his hand and I knew what he was doing. I put my hand into his and pop! we were back in front of Number 12 Grimmuald Place.

Meanwhile Lily had run to the front window to see what was happening and saw me take Sirius's hand.

"James," she called shrilly motioning for him to come over. "They're leaving!"

James and Remus walked over just as we had disappeared.

"I'll follow them, to make sure Sirius is okay," James replied. "You two stay here and see if you can fix the stairs."
