[I am so sorry for not updating sooner, my grades are dropping and finals are coming up so I'm incredibly stressed out!]
My mother always told me that the Kingdom will always come before personal feelings, and when the High Sparrow and his group of radicals returned to the Red Keep, I had to put aside my feelings for both Jojen and Theon to keep my kingdom in my hands.
I had informed my teacher that he was to stay in his chambers until I told him it was safe. He pouted, of course, but let's just say I can be very convincing.
The moment I returned to my own chambers, I began to curse and pace. "This is my Kingdom," I seethed. "He cannot manipulate my parents like this! I may be a woman, but I am still a Baratheon and ours is the fury!" I stated our House words.
Theon grabbed my shoulders. "Lehna, be calm about this-"
"I will NOT!" I yelled and lightning cracked in the sky. Distracted, I ran to the window. "It never rains in King's Landing," I muttered quietly and burst out of my room to find this High Sparrow.
I found him in the throne room, preaching about how "the rain was brought upon as an omen against witchcraft."
"You let the boy live, and he will bring down the entire Kingdom with his witchcraft. If you do not kill him, I will take matters into my own hands." I took my place next to my mother and laid a hand on her shoulder.
King Joffrey stood and fixed the Sparrow in a glare. "Have you forgotten who your King is? You hold no real power here and your threats mean nothing."
"I may not have a true title, but I have a following. Kill me and others like me are soon to follow. We will not rest until sin has been eradicated."
"If you think you can eradicate sin then you are a fool. Sin is simply human nature. I ask that you not waste anymore of your King's time," my mother said calmly.
"Funny you should say that, Your Grace, considering your husband is the product of incestuous relations," the Sparrow smirked.
"Kuristaa," I whispered quietly. The Sparrow grabbed at his throat and his skin began to turn a strange bluish shade. He fell to his knees on the stones of the throne room. My mother squeezed my hand as hard as she could and the spell broke. I watched with a fire in my eyes as he coughed. I was being dragged out of the room, but I never looked away.
When we were out of sight, my mother slapped me hard across the cheek. "What is wrong with you? You can't just magically choke someone in a room full of witnesses! Are you trying to get us all killed?"
"He was threatening you! He was threatening Jojen! I just did what Father was too much of a coward to do!" She rewarded that statement with another slap.
"You have much to learn about politics, Lehna. We will talk more later. For now, I don't want to see you."
"Yes, Your Grace," I snapped before walking away.
I pushed open the doors to Jojen's chambers and he was immediately at my side. "Lehna, what happened to your cheek?" He held his hand close to my face and whispered a healing spell.
"The Queen didn't appreciate me shutting up the High Sparrow or telling the truth." I grumbled.
"She hit you?" He asked softly. I nodded. "Oh, Lehna I'm so sorry my love." He hugged me close and I rested my head on his shoulders.
"I won't let him kill you," I whispered. "I won't. If he wants to kill you, he'll have to kill me too."
