Chapter 12: Publicity

Our honeymoon went well. It was just a one week vacation. We needed to go back kasi because of my work. And we still have things to say to the public. We're actually on the plane and 30 minutes away from Manila. Kaya naman, ginising ko na si Steph.

"Baby. Wake up na." I said while niyuyugyog siya.

"Are we there yet?" Tanong niya with a sleepy voice.

"30 minutes pa pero alam kong magre retouch ka pa ng makeup mo." I said then laughed. Tumawa nalang din siya. I kissed her on the forehead then touched her still flat tummy.

"Good Morning little buddy." Sabi ko dito at nag smile pa.

Nasa business class kami but still, kanina pa kami kinukuhanan ng pictures ng mga staffs and ibang passengers. Okay lang yun. As long as they're not getting through the line.

Maya maya pa ay nag announce na ang pilot to fasten our seat belts dahil magla land na. Today also, is the day when we'll announce her pregnancy on public. So we'll head straight to a hotel para sa pinatawag na press conference.

"Sir? We already checked all the exits na dadaanan niyo po. Your luggages are also being handled by your bodyguards which are waiting na po sa may labas ng check in area." Sabi nung flight attendant.

"Should we go now?" Tanong ko kay Steph. Nag nod naman siya.

kumaway at nag smile kami sa ibang passengers at nag thank you sa mga staffs bago lumabas ng plane. Yes. Kami ang unang pinalabas dahil VVIP nga daw kami. Sobrang bilis lang ng process namin at hindi na kinailangan pumila ng mahaba dahil nga naka ready na ang lahat. I personally planned ahead of time. Ayoko namang masaktan ang asawa ko no.

"Are you ready?" Tanong niya sa akin ng malapit na kami makalabas.

"Diba dapat sayo ko yan tinatanong?" I said then laughed.

"I'm fine. Are you?" I nodded then smiled at her.

"I'll hold your hand. Don't let go, okay?" We both smiled and there. The door opened at cameras flashing with fans ang sumalubong sa amin.

Mabuti nalang may mga naka harang na na airport guards plus our bodyguards. Pero nagkaka siksikan pa din dahil sa dami ng fans. I was just holding Steph and protecting her all the time. Bago kami makapasok sa sasakyan, I even heard her say 'ouch' kaya naman nag worry ako.

"Okay ka lang ba? May masakit sayo?" Tanong ko sa kaniya. Umiling naman siya.

"May naka tama lang na fan sa akin kanina but I'm fine. Don't worry." Sagot niya at nag smile.

"Should we go to the hospital?" Tanong ko pa.

"No need."

Dumiretso na kami sa hotel where the press conference will be held. Sa back door kami pumasok to avoid the fans. We entered the hall with the cameras na nagaabang.

"Good morning." Bati naming dalawa sa mga reporters. Nag cue kami na pwede nang mag start.

"So first of all, congratulations on the two of you on getting back together and for the wedding. Matanong ko lang, how does it feel to marry the woman you used to love before pa, khun?" A reporter asked.

"Of course, very happy. Who wouldn't right? *smiles* sabi nga nila. Kahit gaano man kadami yang problems na naranasan niyo, if you're really meant for each other, then destiny will bring you together."

"How about you, Ms. Steph? You're the girl. Ang bilis mo naman mapasagot. As a matter of fact, things happened in just two months time."

"Yes. I know. It was really fast. Pero, we're glad that everything was a success." She answered.

"The fans have been asking this. Totoo ba na yung rumor na magkasama kayong lumabas sa isang hotel sa Tagaytay 3 months ago?" Someone asked.

"Yes. That's true. And that's why and that's how we got back together." Sagot ko naman.

"We heard that you called this conference because you have something to say. Ano iyon?" tanong ng isang reporter. I looked at Tiffany for a while then smiled.

"We're aware of the rumors spreading. Why was the wedding rushed? Why did everything happened that fast. And we are ready to answer those questions. Yes. We got back together real quick because we realized that we needed each other. We love each other. Bat pa magliligawan kung dun din lang mauuwi right?" all the reporters laughed. Pati tuloy si Steph natawa.

"Bukod sa we wanted to get married na, there's another reason why we rushed it. The preparations also lasted for a month. Almost. It's because we wanted to get married first before the baby grows in there." And with that, they all gasp then started to ask questions.

"Yes. I'm pregnant"

In just a snap, trending na kami agad. The reporters were asking more questions pero hindi namin pinansin. We already announced an official statement. Bahala na din ang management dun. Ayoko ding ma stress si Steph no. Baka ano pa mangyari.
