Day 1 - Your Best Friend [a Ballad]

Asked to write about my best friend

Although, of these I have many

It’s hard to pick just one friend and say

‘I care for you more than any’

One such is Rayna Elms

Complimentary and caring

I know, if I were in bad

Situations, she’d be the one sharing

I move onto Jonny McConville

Who showed me what it meant

To be a kind and loving person

And of that I will never forget

Asked to write about my best friend

Although, of these I have many

It’s hard to pick just one friend and say

‘I care for you more than any’

And then I come to Kate Ryan

One similar to myself

We talk about things that we care about

And won’t insult anyone else

And I could never leave out Ryan

I care so very much about

Although sometimes I don’t understand,

As my friend, I have you no doubt

Asked to write about my best friend

Although, of these I have many

It’s hard to pick just one friend and say

‘I care for you more than any’

Here’s someone who knows me quite well

His name could be Matthew or Steve

He knows me, although he’s not known me long

He just tried to understand me

As much as all of the others

I care about you as well
