****Logan’s POV****
I watched her run into the woods and I didn’t go after her. She could have told me that she had been pregnant, I would have understood. She must think that I’m a monster for not saying anything or responding at all. I waited about an hour for her to come back and she never did. I got worried and I ran into the forest, hoping to find her soon before it got dark.
“KASANDRA?!?!” where is she? I ran deeper and deeper into the forest before I found her. She was curled up in a ball and was covered in little cuts and some blood. As I got closer she didn’t move at all, it seemed like she was barely breathing. I picked her up and she was cold to the touch and her lips where a slight blue color and she was really pale. “Kasandra sweetie, please wake up, please…. God damn it wake up Kasandra!” I practically yelled shaking her lightly. She groaned a bit and a wave of relief washed over me. I carried her back to my house and laid her in my bed, wrapping her in warm blankets. “Why did you run you silly girl?” I whispered and I laid down next to her, sharing my body heat as I fell asleep next to her.
“L…..Logan?” I heard a whisper from next to me just before I lost consciousness. I opened my eyes and looked down and saw Kasandra’s eyes open, looking at my chest with tears leaking out of her eyes. I reached over and wiped the tears off her cheek and raised her chin a bit so she was looking at me.
“How you feeling beautiful?” I asked my voice barely above a whisper.
“Cold…. But why… why are you still talking to me? I thought… I thought you would be disgusted with me after you found out… found out about the baby.” She stammered, her tears falling faster.
“I can never be disgusted in you, I was shocked cause I don’t remember you being pregnant that’s all. WE had class together every other day and I never noticed. It is scary to think that you can be close to a person and never know that they are pregnant. I’m sorry I hurt you beautiful” I whispered into her ear.
****Kasandra’s P.O.V*****
“Thank you Logan. And don’t apologize, there is no need to.” I answered him, leaning back into his chest. “Now go to sleep, you look like you are about to fall asleep where you sit.”
“Ok, but promise me that you won’t run off again, and not destroy the locket. It is a part of you, and push comes to shove you can cut out his picture. But I won’t let you destroy a part of you.” he whispered into my ear as he pulled me even closer to his chest.
“I promise for both of them, now go to sleep.” I answered and closed my eyes listening to his heart beat steady out. After a while I could hear his light snores and smiled as I lay there. Life was perfect now, I had Logan, he knew about my past, and it looked like Brandon would be leaving me alone for good. I couldn’t be any happier, and I never want to let it go.
