Comfortable sleep was the biggest over statement of the year.
I woke up with the biggest cramp in my neck, knees and back which constantly ached from being in the same position for hours, sleeping in a chair for hours. As my eyes struggles to open from the light pouring in from the windows shutters, I felt something move from beside me.
I lift my head that feels like it weighs a tonne and look over to see Lydia trying to pull the IV out of her arm and unstrapping the stretched restraints that were slightly undone after she was unconscious.
I wiped the dried drool off of my face and stood up as slowly and quietly pushing the chair away as I make my way over to Lydia who was standing as far away from the bed as she could without taking to IV out of her arm.
"Lydia...?" I asked unsure of myself as I slowly walk forward towards her.
Lydia looked over to me then back to the IV in her arm. She ripped it out and then made her way to the door as beeping sounded from the machine and the pack doctors along with two warriors rushed into the room with panic in their eyes as they search the room as they found a scarily silent Lydia staring at the door.
"Luna, could you please lie back down so we can check your vitals." One of the doctors asked nervously as the warriors walked either side of Lydia.
"How long have I been out for?" She asks eerily calm, her eyes flashing gold.
The same doctor replies "Only 12 hours... that's why you need to get back into bed so we can-"
"NO!" Lydia yells/growls back, "I need to make sure the pack is all right... and that Alex is-" She pauses for a few seconds and turns her head towards me and stares her eyes glowing gold.
"Ummm hey." I awkwardly say back waving slightly, as the door to the room opens and everybody whips their head towards the sound.
Cole stumbles in with Harley by his side supporting his weight. Harley looks up and sees Lydia standing a few meters from where she is and drops Cole onto the warriors who almost drop him in the process and runs over to Lydia and gives her in a massive hug.
"mmph thanks for the love Harley..." Cole wheezes out while laughing at his girlfriend.
Lydia rolls her eyes and says "Harley I'm fine really-"
"NO! You are not fine! You need to rest until your all better!" Harley says while hanging onto Lydia like her life depended on it. "Aaaaaaaand, my dear friend, you are going to rest here until the doctors say you are okay to leave." She says while ushering Lydia back to the bed as the pack doctors all let out a sigh of relief.
"But-"
"No buts bro! You gotta rest up." Lydia opened her mouth to say something but Harley cut her off with a look and saying, "I know what you are going to say but the pack is fine, no one was hurt apart from you two," She said pointing to Lydia and Cole, "We captured two of the hunters and the rest ran away, our patrol searched for hours and there's no sign of them. Other then the attack nothing else has happened, and they didn't find the pack house."
Lydia's face then froze with realisation as she looked back to Harley, "Who's looking after the pack house?"
"Oh! Well I couldn't find anyone because people were still locked up in the house, so I found grandma walking her cat so I asked if she would be happy to look after the pack." She said happily throwing her hands up excitedly.
Everyone in the room audibly groaned and Harley looked around confused, as people muttered under their breath 'not nana Harley'
So obviously I had to ask, "Harley who's your grandma?"
