     "Riley, wake up!" Cassie Jones //The other first year in the Hufflepuff House// shook me, "We're going to be late for breakfast!" But I didn't budge. Cassie didn't know what else to do so she took the sheet underneath me and yanked it upward. I started to roll and then thud!

     "Ow!" I sat up rubbing my head, "What the heck?"

     Cassie marched up to me and grabbed my hand, pulling me to my feet. "We have to go!" Cassie exclaimed dragging me out of the room. We quickly went out through the entrance of the common room and into the hallway.

     Lucas was walking with Zay when they crossed paths with me and Cassie. "Whoa!" Lucas exhorts while halting to a stop to refrain from running into us.

     I looked at Lucas and my heart began to flutter. But then, it dropped into my stomach when I realized that I was still in my pajamas. "If I knew we could wear that," Zay spoke gesturing to my outfit, "I wouldn't be wearing this ugly thing." gesturing to himself.

     I looked to Cassie whose hand was over her mouth and then to Lucas who was smiling. I blushed in embarrassment at his facial expression, but he wasn't laughing at me. Lucas seemed amused by this, but not in a bad way. Zay gave Cassie a glance as Lucas and I continued to stare at each other.

     "Okay well she's going to go get changed now." Cassie said to Lucas and took ahold of my hand.

     I watched as they shuffled down the hallway. "Hey stop that!" Zay said and hit my bicep but I didn't stop. I wasn't even truly listening to him. Zay turned on his heels, started to walk, and mumbled, "Inappropriate."

     I finally took my eyes of the two girls when they turned a corner. I looked around for my friend and saw him half way to the Great Hall already, "Wait up!"

     Once I had caught up to Zay he said, "You're going to go for a Hufflepuff?"

     I looked at Zay in confusion, "Would you rather me go for a Slytherin?"

     Zay stopped in his tracks and rotated his body towards me, "Oh god no!"

     "That's what I thought." I said continuing to walk but Zay grabbed me before I could make three steps.

     "But why don't you go for a Griffyndor girl?" Zay questioned me, "We've got some pretty foxy ladies."

     I sighed at his remark, "May I remind you that there's only one first year girl in our house and you have dibs."

     "First of all, what's with the may I remind you crap. That's weird. Don't do it." I rolled my eyes at him. "Second of all. Who said you can't go for the older women?" I began to walk away and Zay followed, "I'm serious, you're like the size of a bear. I bet you could even get a fourth year to go for you!"

     "Shut up, Zay." I laughed a bit flattered by his remark.

     "Fine, settle for your little Hufflepuff." Zay threw his hands up in defeat. We walked into the Great Hall just as another Slytherin was arriving. He quickly shoved us and made his way to his table. I had to stop myself from flipping him over the table.
