When I walk into the living room and everyone is sitting on the couch. Julie walks in behind me and sits on the table. Everyone does look to me, just like Julie said. I walk in-front of the T.V and say

"Okay so Julie and I were just talking and what we think we should do is go look for our families. I know that we don't  really know where we are because of the detour we took this morning, but I think we should go back to the bus and we can just walk back up the road from there and hope that we can navigate back to town somehow."

"We are going to pack some things incase we get lost or separated. Pack lightly." Julie cuts in and says.

"Can we take your grandparents things and food, Brandon?" I ask looking a Brandon. He nods. The group separates. Most of us walk up stares to find bags. Brandon and Eliot go to the kitchen. Mason, Julie, Luke and I go up stares.  Julie and Mason go to the left and Luke and I go to the right I walk over to the laundry room and I see some clothes It is the beginning of fall and it is kind of warm but I grab 3 sweaters 2 tank-tops and 2 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of sweatpants. I try to find a bedroom, once I find it I look through the closet for a bag. I find an open safe with a rifle a break-action pistol and semi-automatic pistol. I grab the semi-automatic and slide it through my belt

"JACKPOT" I yell after I get my favorite gun. Luke runs in.  "Ooh! I want this one" He says grabbing the rifle.  Julie walks in and I hand her the break-action. She nods at it and sticks it in the waist band of her pants. I check mine for ammunition. It was empty so I look back through the closet and I find 4 cases of amo and put them into my bag along with the clothes I found. I walk down to the kitchen and meet Luke on the stares.

"Hey." He says making me blush. He never talked to me at school.

"Hello." I say back.

"You are a good leader."

"Why do people keep calling me that?" I say defensively, Luke laughs.

"Because you lead us here, you helped us fight the walkers, you showed us how to kill them. Heck, you saved my life. If you didn't yell for Julia to do something I would be one of them."

"Nah, I would have put you down if you got bit." We laugh.

"Thanks." He says "I would do the same for you." It is weird I never would have thought I would have taken that as a compliment this morning. This morning. My mind flashes back to this morning when I told my mom goodbye. I almost cry but I force myself to hold it in. When I get to the kitchen I look through the cabinet because I don't want the food to go bad. After I get boxes of food and cans. I go to the refrigerator and grab six bottles of water, one bottle for each of us. We can refill it if we need to.
