Jinxed

Chapter 7: Shut up!

Kid Flash came running into the forest. Not what I needed! I wanted to get as far away from him as possible, but then he was standing right in front of me. I was not in a good mood, so he should not get close to me, but of course he did. He stood two steps away from me.

KF: "Jinx, what were you doing? Why did you run?"

J: "Why did I run? That was Dr. Light! He is in connection with both the Hive Five and The Brotherhood of Evil! If they knew..."

He almost looked angry.

KF: "Yes, if they knew, then what?"

J: "Well if they knew that I..."

KF: "That you what, Jinx? Changed? Shifted to the heroes?"

J: "Yes!"

I yelled and he looked hurt. He had no reason to be! I never promised anything.

KF: "Well haven't you? Isn't that why you are living with me?"

J: "I don't know why I'm living with you!"

KF: "So you want to join the Hive Five again?"

J: "I don't know! I can't think right know."

Tears was rolling down both of my cheeks, and Kid Flash looked sorry.

KF: "Jinx please don't do this. Let me help you."

J: "I don't need your help! I can do this by myself."

KF: "Don't you think I know? You're one of the strongest people I know. But you don't have to do it alone."

My head hurt too much, and I couldn't control all of my powers. The ground started to shake when four trees toppled at the same time. I covered my ears.

J: "You don't care about me!"

He grabbed my hands and removed them from my ears.

KF: "Yes I do!"

J: "Why?"

KF: "I don't know!"

He shouldn't care about me. I always end up hurting the ones I care about, and the ones who care about me.

J: "Please just leave me alone!"

KF: "No! I won't leave without you."

J: "Leave me alone!"

I jinxed after him. I hit the ground below him, and he flew up in the air. He hit the ground hard, and his faced was covered with dirt when he looked up at me. His eyes told me that this wasn't what he wanted, but this was what I had to do.

I tried to jinx him again, but he flashed away. He started to run around me in circles. I was constantly trying to jinx him, and he was constantly dodging everything. I made sure that he couldn't get too close to me, but he was pushing me to my limits. I didn't hit him one time, and my anger was growing.

KF: "Jinx please stop this!"

How could he run that fast and still yell?

KF: "This isn't you Jinx!"

J: "Shut up, shut up!"

KF: "Jinx please! You're better than this."

I needed air, I needed space, I needed to think. But I couldn't think! My mind was too clouded. Too many thoughts, too many voices, and too many choices. It was too hard. I couldn't be a hero, I was too big a coward to fight myself.

J: "Shut up!"

I tried to jinx him again.

KF: "Jinx I don't want to fight you!"
