I almost jumped out of my skin. The first person besides my brother that had been genuinely happy to see me. While we had never been close due to my hatred of her brother, she had always been sweet to me. Helping me clean up my scrapes and I can honestly say that she never once made fun of me, I even recalled her standing up for me a few times. I felt myself relax at her smile. She was truly the first person I had been happy to see since I arrived here.

"Okay enough. Nik, give us a minute, I need to talk to her." I glared at him and Nik turned towards me standing in his way crossing her arms. "If I promise not to hurt your new friend Nik, will you let me pass?" He said eyeing his sister. She turned to me and I smiled at her.

"Nik it's fine, I'll take care of it, I'll catch up with you later though." She slid over and moved out of his way.

Now it was my turn to cross my arms. "Yes? Your majesty, how may I help you?" I tilted my head at him.

"Funny. We need to talk...." he was glaring at me.

"You said that already." I snapped at him.

"In private, princess." He said. I didn't know who he thought he was talking to so I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Princess? Really?" I shook my head at him. I followed him without another word catching the glare of Katherine. And I smirked at her and walked out with Aiden.

"Alright, we're out of earshot of your precious followers, now what the hell do you want?" I stomped my foot at him. He looked at me and really looked at me.

"It really is you in there huh Blu?" He said it and I almost choked. He hadn't called me that in a long time.

"And just why wouldn't it be?" I said crossing my arms.

"You're just different" he whispered looking down.

"Yeah haha, the fat girl lost weight, old news." I turned away from him and he grabbed my arm.

"No, not your weight Blu. You." He said as if I would understand what he was going on about.

"Look, if this is about earlier, don't worry, you didn't know who I was. Flirting with me has already been forgotten, I'm not going to tell on you. Can I go now?" I asked. He stopped looking honestly shocked.

"You think I care what they think?"

"You always have before." That was it, I was done with this. I didn't know what his game was but I was not about to stick around and find out.

"I never hurt you Blu." He said quietly like it was the most plain thing in the world. Never hurt me?!? He had to be freaking kidding me with this.

"We are done here," I said through gritted teeth. Now I was mad.  And without another word to him, I walked off.

When I entered the caff again I could hear them, loud as day talking about me. The hate that seared through the eyes of that one table would have been enough to make the old me cower in the corner, or run out of the building crying. Too bad for them, I refused to do that again. I looked around to find her. The only friendly face and I really needed a friendly face right now. She saw me before I found her. "Come sit" she called to me and I went to sit beside her. I couldn't get over how different she looked.  I know like I'm one to talk. She looked so much older, even though she was Aidens twin, she had always looked like his little sister, I suppose having Aiden as a brother could do that. I knew what it was like to live in the shadows of a brother and I could only imagine being the same age as him. She no longer looked like the little sister of Aiden, she looked like her own person. A little bit of a darker look, a punk look and it fit her so well.

"What did that punk of a brother of mine say to upset you?" She asked looking at me intently. I chuckled lightly.

"Not even worth mentioning. So tell me what I've missed." I said to her.  And she did. Turns out Tyler and Amy were dating, which was no surprise to me, unfortunately as I gathered earlier, it didn't take long after I left before they started hanging out with the people I despised. Nikki assumed it was out of survival mostly at first. Katherine and Aiden had broken up a little over a year ago, something to do with Garett and a party. Kyle wasn't mentioned much but when he was, it was clear that the better half of the Ferguson twins was more than a little interested in her brother's best friend. Poor girl. She told me stories of the last three years and I became uninterested in the life and times of this horrid place until something someone said caught my attention.

"Don't forget that huge blowup they had over some that girl named b...ow." Isabella said.

                "What?" I asked her.

"Nothing. Izzy here has a big mouth. They had a lot of fights towards the end. Nothing worth mentioning." Weird.

I was finally free, the first day from hell out of the way. Now on to family dinner. Hell part two. The disappointment of my father for hours. The annoying awkwardness between two parents that used to love each other and of course there was my perfect sibling.

Even better when I arrived it wasn't only my family sitting out on the lawn, anyone want to guess who my fathers' neighbors were? That's right the Ferguson's. All the parents were sitting in lawn chairs catching up, my mother and father surprisingly not killing each other. Jacob and Aiden were playing basketball with Kyle and Garrett. And Nikki and Isabella were sitting on the Fergusons porch watching the boys play. Fantastic. Gangs all here. I was sure that any minute the other tormentors would appear and my night would be complete. "Hey Seren, come over here," Nikki calls over. I nodded and headed over. My dad was in deep conversation and I would need to deal with that disappointment later.

I was almost to the girls when I caught sight of a basketball flying at my head. I caught it I my hand and glanced up to the boys staring at me. I shrugged and tossed the ball towards the hoop, making it in and continued onto my destination. "Woah! Nice shot!" I heard Kyle call from across the yard.

"Damn, who knew, your sis has skill, Jake," Garret called as well. Aiden didn't speak, he just went back to what he was doing. A little while later I could have sworn Garrett made a comment about Aiden being back to being sulky.
