It had been a few weeks since my panic attack in front of Aidens' house. I hadn't had any major public freak outs, although life was far from quiet. My school days were spent warding off the bitch brigade.  The guys however stayed quiet. It was unusual, besides Tyler who followed Amy around like a lost puppy. Disgusting. The other guys left me alone. A few quiet stares but not one of the three who used to spend their days finding new ways to embarrass me were in on the fun. Once when Katherine and her goons were making some lame joke about my supposed lypo (pathetic), Garret let out a chuckle but suddenly became quiet when he saw Aiden.  Even odder earlier today, when Kia had oh so obviously attempted to trip me, Kyle stepped up and caught me before I fell. "You okay Seren?" He asked me as I balanced out. I nodded and walked off dumbfounded.  These were after all the same boys who stood by my entire life and laughed as I fell. They suddenly found no humor in me falling flat on my face. I even heard Kyle and Aiden in the background as I walked away. "Back off Kat, it's enough." What the hell was going on. Literally the only people trying to get at me were Katherine and her girls. Nobody else seemed to care.

It was finally almost the weekend and I thought the week had been going weird and then out of nowhere on my way out of school Garrett and Kyle approached me. Talk about weird. I was ready for the other shoe to drop and I was sure this was it. In fact I'm a little worried that whatever they are up to is bound to be a trick. Those two just invited me to a party at Kyle's tonight. Not just any party, the same party the entire school had been going on about all week. They were up to something and I knew it was bound to be horrific. The last time those two were nice to me was that fake invite to a school dance and that ended oh so well. I almost told them to go fuck themselves but I didn't. I was restrained.

"So you going tonight or what?" Isabelle asked as we were walking out of the school after the final bell.

"Not on your life" I responded.

"Oh, why not? So the idiots asked you, it's bound to be interesting right?" Nikki asked trying to sound casual.

"Is there a reason that you want to go Nik...like oh I don't know a certain jock, who may or may not be best friends with your annoying brother." I asked eyeing my friend. She stopped, looking at me.

"No! I would never." She said smiling sadly at me.

"Sure, look, he's a jerk and I think you are out of your mind, but your affection for that idiot, isn't exactly unnoticeable. Just be careful okay." She nodded.

"Still wouldn't go there. Look he's not like he was before, but he's still Kyle and no." She stated mater of factly.

I shrugged. "If you say so. Funny how you knew which best friend of your brothers I was referring to." I laughed.

"Oh shut up, the only person here eyeing that cheap Garret is Izz over here." She said elbowing her best friend.

"Ew" I said making a discussed face.

"What, he's so sexy" she said making a dreamy face. I shook my head.

"Didn't you say he had a thing with queen bitch?" I asked curiously trying to pry some information out of her. She never did tell me what actually broke up the royal couple, other than hinting at it involving Garrett.

"Oh god no, it's a long story, he would never. Not that, that skank didn't try her best. In front of practically the whole school mind you." Nik stated angrily.

"Yeah that was after the big fight right?" Isabelle asked, getting a shut up glare from Nikki. There it was again, whenever Iz mentioned the big fight as she referred to it, Nikki shut her up quick. This was the fourth time it had happened. If Nikki wouldn't tell me about it, then who? Maybe it was a protective sister thing. Maybe it was something that I was better not knowing about.
