Briar's POV
We usually don't have to re audition for our competitive teams, but this year Allain insisted on having the best routines and dancers. Last season was a rough one- many seniors graduated from CDC and a few got injured and had to leave anyway.
The previous senior competitors were made to audition in front of everyone, I guess to make the newbies have extra drive and determination to get in. My solo was decent- the turns and tricks seemed to go well but I could've done better. Jessy killed it,and Myles was incredible! I couldn't have more talented best friends.
A few new girls and a boy caught my eye- Lucie and Carmel from England and Daniel from Boston. They would be good assets to our team!
I start to approach the three but get stopped by Jessy, "Briar, babe! You were incredible!" I was engulfed into a hug before Myles spoke enthusiastically: "Bri! You killed it!". I blush before replying; "I wasn't too happy about it- I could've done better... Anyway; I'm going over to talk to those three." I indicate as I smile and walk over to them.
"Hey! I'm Briar- this is Myles and Jessy. You were incredible!" I say warmly, hugging the two girls and Daniel.
Myles' POV
I couldn't help but feel a slight pang of jealousy when Briar hugged Darren or whatever his name was- she was my best friend after all.
"Thank you so much Briar!" Lucie spoke up- she was quite pretty really. "Yeah we have seen your solos on YouTube and when we saw the caliber of dance that lives here- we knew we had to move over from England! You are goals!" her soft, English accent spoke. "Awe thank you!" Briar smiled sweetly.
We all chatted for a while with Carmel, Lucie and 'Dan' before we were called back to do a choreo round of the audition. Today was going to be a long day...
A/N: I had a lot of ideas for this chapter which I completely forgot so the story has taken another path!
