A/N: Holy cow I have over 2k reads on this book! Thank you so much!
I may not update next week because I am in shows so I do not have much spare time- I've also been catching up on schoolwork and have been unable to update previously.

Myles' POV
Today was Thursday, meaning Briar and I had been officially 'together' for a few days; however, we decided to keep our relationship on the down low. It would be more special that way as it would be our secret.
I get ready for school; packing the necessary books, my door and car keys, money and dance essentials which I'd need after school. Grabbing breakfast, I dive into my car and start to make my way to my girlfriend's house.

I arrive at B's house, honking the horn to signal to her to come out; and soon enough, she does. She clutches her school bag whilst running toward my car, blonde hair tumbling from her head.
"Hey." She clambers in and kisses my cheek, causing me to smile.
"I can't wait for rehearsals tonight- we may even get a duet this season."

"I know! Do you mind taking me there tonight?" She looks down, embarrassed.
I slide my hand in between her two perfectly manicured ones which were folded neatly on her lap.
"Of course I don't mind, I'm your boyfriend!"
I start the car as we continue talking and laughing; only stopping when we arrive at school.

One hand still on the wheel, I turn to Briar who is gathering her things. I drum the wheel expectantly, trying to get her attention; eventually her eyes connect with mine as she waits for me to speak.
"Nobody's around.." I indicate, tapping my lips.
My girlfriend sighs before kissing my lips gently, I immediately deepen the kiss for second before pulling away and pecking her lips one last time. She smiles as I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.
"See you." Briar steps out of the car and walks towards the school gates, turning to look at me just before she goes out of sight.

"How's your dad these days?" Briar and I are currently on the way to dance.
"Uhh.." She looks flustered. "He's coming out of the hospital on Saturday, but the car accident may have permanently paralysed him."
"Aww Bri.." I sympathetically look over to her and notice a single tear slide down her cheek.
I tell her that everything will work out and to try and hope for the best; in situations like these, I'm not too sure how to act- so I spoke from my heart.

"I.. Uh.. I mean- WE haven't gone on a date yet. Do you want to go out with me tomorrow?" I stumble over my words but attempt to act as cool as possible.
"That would be great Myles." Briar smiles through her tears, trying to look presentable for dance as I pull into CDC's parking lot.

A/N: I have a preposition for you guys.. Would you prefer if I update when I can (which is quite spaced out) or take a little 'break' from updating so I can potentially finish writing this book: then when I've finished, start updating on certain days which would occur more regularly? Have a think and please let me know xx
After the next chapter I would start doing this, so next time I'll tell you guys which option will be taking place.
