A/N: This is not edited yet so please don't criticize me too hard. If you have any notes or ideas please comment below :) Also I do not own any characters other than Charlotte. All the rest of these wonderful characters belong to C.S. Lewis.
Charlotte stared into the face of her dear professor, studying his worried features. His circular frames slid down his face, but he was too stressed to notice.
"Prince Caspian is in trouble, Charlotte. Miraz now has a son." The professor whispered to Charlotte as they scurried from corridor to corridor. Charlotte slowed down to think, and then the realization hits her like a boulder.
"That means they will..." Charlotte was cut short by the professor.
"Yes. That is why this is of the utmost importance that we get to him before General Glozelle and his men do." His shaky voice said. Professor Cornelius really did care for the Prince as he would for his own child. As they hurried down the hall, the professors cloak flowed behind him.
"There." The professor pointed out. Charlotte had never been to The prince's room before. She had only ever been inside the castle to go to the professor's study. All of the hallways seemed to be mapped out in the professor's head. Of course it would be, he took up permanent quarters here.
The door creaked slowly as they entered. Acting swiftly Charlotte went to wake Caspian. The professor says her name hastily.
"Cover his mouth." Charlotte leaned over placing her hand on his lips. They were soft, unlike she would suspect. He wakes up with a gasp, shock coming over his face. He then realizes it is just the professor and his dear friend.
"Five more minutes." Caspian says groggily.
"You won't be watching the stars tonight, my prince. Come on. We must hurry!" The professor says while pulling Caspian out of bed, still in his night clothes."Professor, what is going on?" Caspian says eyeing the professor, and the girl with dark forest brown hair.
"Your aunt has given birth...," Charlotte paused, taking in a deep breath.
"..to a son." She continued. Worry washes over his face, just as fast as it had Charlotte's in the hallway.
"Come." The professor says, opening the black wardrobe on the other side of the room. They had filed in one by one, Caspian closest to the door. He had closed it barely enough to see into the room. They had made it there in just the right amount of time. Just then General Glozelle and his soldiers barged in.
All of his men held crossbows, ready to shoot. Suddenly in a wave of arrows, they hit the triggering mechanism. The arrows flew through the dark canopy, tearing the fabric around it. As the feathers cleared the air Glozelle had realizes Prince Caspian was not there. He signalled for his men to leave the room. Relief washed over Charlotte, as she saw the men were not checking hiding spots.
The troublesome trio fled down to the armory. Caspian grabbed a long sword and a leather chest plate. Charlotte followed right behind him grabbing a bow and arrows. They hurried outside where the Professor was waiting outside with a tall, dark brown horse. Everything was ready for the journey they were about to take. Well, as ready as it could be for the time being. Caspian gracefully hopped on. He held out a chivalrous hand for Charlotte to hop on. As she did the professor spoke.
"You must make it to the woods." He said as much talking to Charlotte as he was Caspian.
"The woods?" Caspian asked.
"They won't follow you there." He stated. He took a long pause.
"It has taken me many years to find this." The professor said handing Caspian a small horn. It had a bronze strap, with gold holding it to the horn. On the front end it had a majestic lion carved out of what seemed to be stone.
