Eugene
"You... You what?" My mouth dropped slightly and my eyes widened.
"I... yeah." He nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "And, I guess I know how you feel too... because of Minah."
"C-Can I please have a moment to myself?" I asked, stuttering. He nodded with an unsure smile and 'poofed' away. I immediately got off my bed and ran downstairs to the front door, about to leave to see Minah, but I stopped and slowly drew my hand away from the doorknob. I stared at the door, not sure what to do about her situation.
"What are you doing Eugene?" My mother came up behind me as I jumped in fright.
"Eomma! When did you get home?" I let out a breath as I held onto my chest.
"A few minutes ago. How was Japan?" She smiled.
"I really want to talk right now, but I have some important business to take care of. Do you mind if I talk to you when I get back?" I bit my lip, feeling bad.
"That's ok. I was going to go next door anyway." She smirked, slightly blushing.
"Yah, you better tell me everything that is going on between you and Mr Jung when I get back, otherwise I'm not going to tell you my exciting news." I raised an eyebrow as I slowly opened the door and walked out. She just laughed as I closed it. I ran as much as I could to Jin's house. I probably only ran to the end of my short street.
I'm not the fittest person.
I arrived a few minutes later and went to his window. I started throwing small pebbles as I screamed. "Kim Seokjin!" I dragged out his name as I was out of breath. He opened his window and I almost accidentally hit him in the face with a pebble.
"You were here like an hour ago. What do you want?" He giggled, dodging all the rocks I was still throwing.
"I have so much to tell you." I cried as I ran out of rocks.
"I'll get the door for you." He said as he disappeared from his window. I ran to the front of the house and waited at the door ever so patiently. "What do you have to share?" I ran into his house and up to his bedroom. I made myself comfortable in his soft bed and waited for him to enter. "Yah! You're so energetic. Seriously, tell me."
"Well, you're probably going to think I'm crazy, but Kim Taehyung isn't a human. He's a genie that I found in an ornament in my new house, and he's like a ghost. I've made 4 wishes over a few weeks and have 1 left. Today, Minah found out who he was because she rubbed his lamp and saw him. Because of that, she caused all these problems and now we aren't friends anymore because she tried to blackmail me because I said that I was friends with Jimin and Hana again. After I made my 4th wish today, he told me that he liked me and now I don't know what to do!" I spoke quickly. So quick that I could barely understand it.
"Woah, woah. A genie?!"
"Yes, yes. A genie. If you don't believe me, I'll show you the same way Minah found out."
"No, I believe you, it's just that... how are you two going to be together if he's like... a ghost?" Jin wondered.
"Exactly! That's why I don't know what to do. I'm freaking out!" I'm not sure why, but tears came to my eyes. It must have been because I was so overwhelmed.
"Why don't you just talk to him and see what you guys can do?" He suggested.
"Talk to him? Uh-uh. Not happening." I let out a sarcastic laugh as I shook my head side to side.
"Why not? It's really the only way to figure each other out." He shrugged.
"I'm not confident enough to do that. I can't do it. Maybe if I leave it for a bit, he'll come to me first." I mumbled.
