At lunch Stacie walked over to her table where Victoria was sitting. She sat down and Jared got his lunch and walked over the them. He sat down next to Stacie. Victoria looked up from her pizza and squealed. Jared looked confused while Stacie rolled her eyes. "What was that about" Jared asked Victoria. "I ship you guys so hard" Victoria whispered. Jared laughed and looked at Stacie who was grinning.
He was just looking back over at Victoria when about seven random girls sat down at the table.
Stacie and Victoria looked at each other then at the girls in unison. Jared glanced at Stacie then looked at the girls. "Is it true?" one of them asked eagerly. Jared fidgeted. "Is what true?" he asked. "That you guys are dating!" she said while the other girls whispered. "Um," he said looking over at Stacie, "yeah, I guess we are." The girls whispered amongst themselves while Stacie, Victoria, and Jared shared confused looks. "Sorry," Victoria began, "but why do you care?" "Oh he's just like one of the cutest guys in our grade" a different girl said. They all started giggling when Jared's face turned red. He looked over at Stacie with a what-is-happening look on his face. Stacie stifled a laugh and looked over at the girls. "We were just wondering how that happened" another girl said. "Well they actually see the colors together" Victoria said. All of the girl's jaws dropped. Victoria and Stacie looked at each other and it was all they could do to keep from laughing. Suddenly they were bombarded with questions. "I have a question," Stacie said, "why is this so interesting to you?" "It just is," someone said, "don't question the laws of gossip." Stacie rolled her eyes.
The girls stayed there for all of lunch. They started calling people over after a couple minutes. Pretty soon there were about twenty people surrounding them. Stacie and Jared were squished right next to each other at the table. Stacie couldnt figure out what was so interesting about them that deserved this much attention. Eventually the bell rang and the crowd dispersed. Stacie and Jared went to their separate classes.
Later on the bus Stacie sat next to Jared. They talked about what happened at lunch and laughed at how hilarious it was.
