Hoseok P.O.V
Yahhh what am I doing? I scolded myself mentally. Kim Taehyung, I'm supposed to hate you, not be friends with you. And what is this... a coincidence? So he's the son of the lady my mom was talking about. I glanced over at Taehyung who was happily finishing the last of the hot chocolate. Well, he can be a prick sometimes but he's alright.

"Ahh its so nice." Taehyung complimented, placing his empty cup on the table.

"Want more?" I asked him.

Taehyung looked at me hopefully and I laughed.

"I'll teach you how."

As we entered the kitchen, I could hear Mrs Kim and my mother talking amicably. A lovely aroma filled the kitchen and I could instantly recognise the smell of my favourite seafood soup. A queer sound emmited from Taehyung's stomach and he grinned sheepishly, wrapping his arms around himself. Trying to hold my laughter, I grabbed the necessary ingredients off the shelf and headed to the dining table.
"Here, mix the cocoa powder, sugar and salt together." I instructed.
Taehyung obediantly did so and I further instructed him to pour milk in it. After stirring the mixture, I brought his mug to the microwave and hit the button.

"There! It's easy." I said, dusting my hands.

Taehyung nodded, too focused on watching the mug. The ding from the timer startled me and I watched as Taehyung opened the microwave but stopped after that.

"You can take it out now." I said.

"I know... but won't it be hot? How do you take it out?" He asked.

"No it isn't. Try! It really won't burn you." I replied, laughing.

He looked at me skeptically, but reached for the mug in the end. As his fingers came in contact with the mug, he scrunched up his face, preparing for the pain to come. A look of confusion crossed his face before he wrapped his fingers around the handle and took it out.

"Woah its not hot!" He exclaimed, bringing the mug to his lips.

"Wait!"

I pulled out a packet of mini marshmallows and placed a handful of them in the mug.

"It tastes better this way." I said.

Taehyung grabbed a spoon and dipped the marshmallows in, eating them when it surfaced.

"Thanks Hoseok. It tastes really good! You want some?"He asked with his mouth full of marshmallows.

"Its okay. I can make those anytime." I replied, feeling glad that he enjoyed it.

In no time, the mug was empty and he placed it in the sink, groaning in satisfaction.

"Dinner will be ready in 10 minutes!" My mom called, smiling at us. Taehyung cheered and decided to search for cutlery. To my surprise, he found it rather quickly and he grabbed them happily, walking to the dining table. I could hear the clatter of forks and spoons against the glass table and soon, the orange headed boy appeared in the kitchen once again. He walked over to the pot of soup, trying to waft the scent towards himself.

"This smells really heavenly! I love seafood soup." Taehyung said, to the delight of both mothers.

"Hoseok loves it too, right Hoseok?" my mother asked.

I nodded in agreement. The taste of it is simply delicious and the prawns are especially good. Mrs Kim gave one final stir before removing the pot from heat. Taking a ladle from the drawer, my mom scouped out the soup into six equal portions. Four for us and two for my dad and Taehyung's as well. I eagerly took two bowls and carefully brought them to the dining table. Taehyung followed behind me, taking small steps to make sure the soup doesn't spill. My mother and Mrs Kim appeared carrying four plates of rice after him.

"Ahhh let's dig in!" I said, unable to wait anymore. The three gladly obliged and immediately picked up their spoons to taste the soup. As it entered my mouth, I enjoyed the savoury taste of the hot soup. It was amazing. Bringing out a prawn, I removed its shell and brought it into my mouth. The texture of it was just right, and the taste was absolutely perfect.

"Wow Mrs Jung, you can cook really well!" Taehyung complimented, scouping out more for himself.

"Ah thank you! Your mother helped me too." My mom smiled.

"Taehyung, don't just drink the soup! You have plenty of rice left." Mrs Kim pointed out, making everyone laugh.

The rice and soup was finished in no time, and I leaned backwards, rubbing my belly in satisfaction.

"Thank you Mrs Jung and Hoseok." Mrs Kim and Taehyung said simultaneously.

I smiled to acknowledge. Both of them got out of their seats, helping my mother and I bring all the bowls and plates in.

"Do you need help in washing these?" Taehyung asked while placing everything beside the sink.

"No thank you, we can manage on our own." I replied.

"Alright, thank you!" Taehyung said, picking up the container of soup for his father.

I brought him and Mrs Kim to our front door and unlocked it.

"Bye! Do come again!" My mother said, waving at them.

"We will!" Taehyung replied, waving back.

Once they disappeared from my view, I shut the door and locked it. I Headed into the kitchen and picked up some dishes, helping my mom to wash them.

"So... Taehyung is your friend in school?" Mom asked.

"Yeah." I replied, trying to scrub off a stain.

The rest of the time was spent in silence and all that could be heared was the sound of water running from the tap. I quickly washed the last bowl and headed upstairs to my bedroom. Picking up my phone that was charging, I found that I have a text from Taehyung.

Taehyung: Thanks for the meal again! Its delicious^^
Hoseok: Since when did you become so nice? You're welcome anyway.
Taehyung: Since I was born :)

I laughed at Taehyung's boastful words and put down my phone. Ah, he's not that bad after all.
