No one P.O.V
Taehyung turned instantly when he heard the voice behind him and his eyes widened. Hoseok was the last person he expected to see appearing willingly in front of him.
"Yes?" Taehyung croaked.
Hoseok made his way to the breakwater and sat beside Taehyung. His heart pounded, being so close to Tae.
"Hey Tae." Hoseok started, unsure of what he was going to say.
Taehyung tilted his head slightly, encouraging him to continue. He was curious. Doesn't Hoseok hate him to the core? Why is he doing this?
"Seokjin confessed. He hid the necklace because he wanted me to himself. I'm sorry for misjudging you Tae, I really am." Hoseok apologised softly.
Taehyung froze, before letting a huge grin spread across his face. Finally. I can stop living in agony, he thought.
"It's okay Hoseok. All I want is to be friends with you again. Do you know how painful it is to lose you?" He muttered, tears of joy already forming at the corner of his eyes. Before he could wipe it away, Hoseok reached to touch his face and gently brushed his tears away. Taehyung's heart beat sped up and his breath became hurried. After all, who could remain calm when his crush is touching him?
"I know." Hoseok responded and turned to reach for the lunchbox.
"Here, I made this for you." He said and opened it for Taehyung. Tae's eyes widened at the sight of kimbap.
"How did you know I like kimbap?" He questioned, placing one in his mouth. His tastebuds tingled. It was the best kimbap he had ever tasted!
"You raved about kimbap on your Twitter account." Hoseok replied, pushing the box into the starving boy's hands.
"Wasn't that like one year ago? Hoseok..." Taehyung trailed off, teasing the embarrased older.
"Ah ah, fine I stalked you." Hoseok admitted in defeat and laughed sheepishly. Taehyung giggled with his mouth full and patted Hoseok's thick hair.
"Thanks Hoseok, this is the best kimbap I've ever tasted! I should thank Seokjin later as well." Tae said happily as he offered Hoseok a bite.
"How did you know?"
"It's pink."
Taehyung finished the kimbap and closed the box. Hoseok reached for his hand and pulled him closer.
"Can I see your arm?" Hoseok asked carefully.
Taehyung hesitated, but nodded anyway. Hoseok gently pulled up the sleeves and looked up immediately in shock and sadness. Hoseok could not bear to imagine the blade cutting into the boy's soft skin. His chest tightened and he gave Taehyung a soft squeeze on his hand.
"I'm sorry Tae." Hoseok cried and pulled him into an embrace.
"It's okay." he assured. Hoseok inspected Taehyung's arm again, tracing every scar carefully. Taehyung's heart fluttered at his actions and blushed.
"I promise I won't hurt you again." Hoseok vowed.
"That's good." Taehyung smiled.
Hoseok turned his body more so that he could see Taehyung clearly. He observed that Tae had very long eyelashes and a rather small nose. His features were soft and his long hair partially covered his eyes. Hoseok wondered when was the last time Tae got a haircut. Placing both of his hands in his own, Hoseok looked deeply into Taehyung's eyes and spoke.
"I like you, Tae. A lot. I might even love you. We have been through so much and I can't say that I can live without you. I want you to be more than just my friend. Will you accept my feelings?" Hoseok uttered, his heart thudded as he confessed to the orange haired boy. Taehyung's pupils dilated and he smiled enormously, showing his perfect set of teeth.
"Really?!" Taehyung squealed and threw his arms around Hoseok. He nodded happily, confirming the excited Tae's question.
"Yes! Yes! Of course Hoseok!" Taehyung said in a rush, doing a mini dance out of happiness. Hoseok heaved a sigh of relief and grabbed Taehyung, who looked like he was having a seizure.
"Look at the sun." Hoseok pointed out.
Taehyung's eyes drifted to the huge star. The sky was painted a beautiful shade of pink and orange. The water surface reflected the captivating colours, leaving both of them mesmerised. Bathing in its bright glow, the sun slowly descended. They watched as it drowned in the horizon, the bright colours dwindling. Not long after, the sky dimmed and only the portion near the horizon remained pink. Taehyung glanced at Hoseok, who had a small smile on his face, clearly enjoying the landscape.
"Beautiful scenery, isn't it." Taehyung said.
"Nothing is as beautiful as you." Hoseok added on, turning Taehyung's face into a dark shade of red. He pinched Hoseok's cheeks and stood up.
"Stop being so smooth. We should go now, otherwise it will be too dark." Taehyung said and picked up his bag.
Hoseok followed and both of them hopped off the breakwater. The sky was fast dimming and within ten minutes, it was already dark. The street lamps barely illuminated their surroundings as the couple trudged back home hand in hand.
"Thanks for today Hoseok." Taehyung clutched Hoseok's hand tighter, seemingly afraid that if he let go, Hoseok would vanish.
Hoseok laughed and slid his arm around Tae's waist in response. He felt unnerved somehow. His hair stood up, feeling a prickling sensation down his spine. It felt almost as if something bad was about to happen. Hoseok shrugged it off, thinking it was probably just him being paranoid. After all, what could go wrong with his lover beside him? As they turned into a dark alley, they could hear distinct footsteps right behind them.
Hoseok turned immediately, placing himself between Taehyung and the mysterious stalker. Taehyung hid behind Hoseok, gripping his tee shirt so thightly his knuckles turned white. Hoseok squinted in the darkness and made out a large figure standing two meters in front of him. However, what scared him the most wasn't his presence. A glint caught his eye and Hoseok's heart skipped a beat. A knife.
