Seokjin P.O.V
The mini gathering soon ended and I couldn't help but to miss the time I spent with Taehyung and Hoseok.
Especially Hoseok
Recalling Hoseok's bright laugher, I smiled subtly to myself. He never fails to bring joy to me, his beautiful face always gave me hope. His smile, his clumsiness, they are just way too cute.
But Hoseok likes Tae, right?
As I observed them, I could tell Hoseok had a thing for the handsome orange haired boy. The way he looked at Tae, his eyes filled with happiness whenever the younger talked to him.
Ah, looks like I don't stand a chance...
Ring ring...
"Hello Jungkook?"
"Look behind you"I turned and saw my best friend, Jungkook taking big strides towards me. I haven't seen him ever since I transferred to the new school, but his goofy smile never failed to bring a smile to my face.
"How is your new school?" Jungkook asked.
"Really good!" I smiled, answering Jungkook's question.
"Did you..." his voice trailed off at the end and he never finished his sentence, but I could already guess what he was going to ask.
"Kind of, his name is Hoseok, but I doubt he likes me back anyway." I responded, feeling disappointment wash over me as I admitted out loud, that Hoseok doesn't like me at all.
"Ah..." Jungkook sighed, looking upset. "Its okay, there are plenty of guys out there. You will never know when you meet the right one!"
I nodded my head, glad that I have Jungkook as a friend. We had a hearty conversation for a while, before he turned to continue his way home. I, too, made my way home, but with a heavy heart.
What is this? I've never liked someone so much before. Girls threw themselves at me, boys too. But I've never fancied any of them. I do have small crushes, but nothing felt as strong as my affection towards Hoseok. Seeing Hoseok love someone else hurts so much.
I might be overthinking, maybe Hoseok doesn't like Tae. Maybe its just their close friendship I'm seeing. They are not a couple right? Then I still stand a chance. I consoled myself, feeling determined to make Hoseok mine.
-next day-
I headed to school, excited to see my friends again. To see Hoseok again. As I sat down on my chair, I noticed Hoseok, who was sitting on my left side, sleeping with a book covering his face.
So cute.
The sound of a chair being dragged distracted me. My seating partner has arrived. I never noticed him when I arrived, because my attention was on Hoseok all along. Next to me, Yoongi and Jimin were chatting awkwardly, discussing their answers for their homework assignment. Ah, how long have they been next to each other, and they are still so awkward.
"Good morning class." Mr Kim said as he entered the classroom.
"Good morning Mr Kim." We bowed and took our seats.
Tae isn't here yet. Lessons continued as usual and I discreetly texted Tae to ask him if he was alright. His reply came instantly.
"I'm down with fever aish I feel terrible! I won't be coming to school today, mianhae."
"Why is Taehyung absent?" Mr Kim asked.
I was about to tell him he is down with fever, when I heard Hoseok's voice.
"Taehyung has fever, I'll be collecting his assignments today." Hoseok said.
Hoseok knows Tae is sick before me. A wave of jealousy washed over me. Why are they so close? Still, I reminded myself of the fact that Hoseok is single, that I stand a chance.
Break time came and I bought ramen for myself. Hoseok, Jimin, Yoongi and the boy sitting beside me were all seated by the time I came back.
"Namjoon, how was your dance class yesterday?" Jimin asked.
"Oh I absolutely hated it. Mom said it would be fun but no, it was the worst class I've ever attended." The boy who sits beside me in class complained.
Oh, so his name is Namjoon.
"Wae?? Dancing is fun!" Hoseok replied.
"Noo I had to twist my body, twist my feet, I don't know. They even tried to make me twerk! How do you even do it!" Namjoon wailed.
I burst out laughing. Years ago, my mother signed me up for dance classes. To say it was my worst nightmare was just the tip of an iceberg. I could hardly catch up with the choreography and constantly got laughed at for my awkward movements. Needless to say, I quit the programme right after.
Namjoon looked at me in surprise, wondering why someone he hardly knew was laughing at him.
"No, I'm laughing because I totally relate to you. I had a similar experience and it didn't go well. I hate dancing." I replied, trying to clarify.
"Wae wae wae? Dancing is really fun! I agree with Hoseok." Jimin said.
"I'm with Seokjin and Namjoon. Dancing uses up my energy." Yoongi butted in. "Its three against two, you lose." Yoongi said coolly, eating his sandwich.
Namjoon, Yoongi and I gave a cheer. So Hoseok likes to dance! I'd love to watch him dance.
"Sure, I'm practising after school. You can come along!" Hoseok said.
Oh crap, did I say that out loud?
Keeping my head low in embarrasment, I nodded quickly. Oh well, at least I get to see Hoseok's dancing skills!
