Chapter 7

Taehyung P.O.V

The usually noisy and talkative Jung Hoseok isn't talking much... how strange. I brushed the feeling off, thinking that he just wanted to eat. Math lessons were starting soon and I mentally groaned. Mr Song walked in, carrying his infamous textbook and putting it carefully on the table.
"I heard that there is a new student here, would you like to solve the very first question here?" He asked. I turned to look at Seokjin, who seemed calm and he stood up to get a marker. His hands pratically flew across the whiteboard as he wrote his working. Within a minute, the question was solved.
"Wow..." Hoseok muttered under his breath.
"That was impressive, Seokjin! You may go back to your seat."
Seokjin smiled in delight and headed back, earning some squeals from the girls sitting at the back. I was mesmerised by his smile and intelligence.  How can one be so sexy and smart at the same time?

~End of the day in school~
Hoseok and I were walking back home together as usual. The only thing that was different was the fact that Hoseok was as silent as a mouse.

"Hoseok?"
"Yeah?"
"Why are you so quiet?"
"Oh... I failed my Chemistry quiz. I studied really hard for it!"

Ah no wonder. I patted his back to comfort him and offered my unused Chemistry assesment book. He grinned and nodded his head, thanking me for my offer. It was once again, time for us to go our seperate ways. I reluctantly waved goodbye to Hoseok and turned to walk in other direction, feeling sad that I could not spend more time with each other.

"Ah!"

I felt myself bump into someone and heard the sound of books dropping.

"I'm sorry!" I exclaimed, turning around to see who I hit and I froze instantly as soon as I recognised the person. Seokjin.

"It's okay!" Seokjin called, trying to pick up his books. I immediately bent down to help him, feeling excited that I actually talked to him. After I picked up the last book, I turned to hand them to him and smiled apologetically.

"You are Kim Taehyung right?" Seokjin asked curiously.

He knows my name!

"Yeah!" I answered, trying not to sound too excited.

"I like your hair. Its so cool!" Seokjin complimented, making me blush.

"Ahh thank you! I... I... your shoes are nice." I stammered, trying to compliment him back.

Seokjin burst into laughter and thanked me, making me turn a darker shade of red.

"I got to go, see you tomorrow!" Seokjin said, waving at me as he started to walk.

Isn't it...

"Hey, I walk in the same direction. Let's go together!" I quickly said, after realising that he was heading the same direction. Seokjin nodded happily and we continued to walk home together.

"That boy sitting beside you is Hoseok right?" Seokjin asked.

"Yeah, we didn't click at first but after getting closer to him I realised that he is a really nice person." I answered, smiling as I talked.

"Do you like him?"

This question threw me off guard. Do I like him?
Nah, the one I like is Kim Seokjin. The handsome and genius Kim Seokjin!

"He is just a friend to me."  I replied, convincing myself that the person beside me was the one I like.

"Ah, I see."

I spotted my house in a distance and pointed at it.

"I live here. Where is your house?" I asked.

"It's just four houses down the row!" Seokjin exclaimed.

Delighted, I grinned at him as I reached my doorstep.

"See you tomorrow!" I said, waving at him.

Seokjin waved back and I entered my house. Wah, I'm so lucky to live so close to Seokjin!

"Taehyung! Why are you smiling to yourself?" Mom's voice sounded all of a sudden and I jumped, feeling embarrased.

"Uhh something funny happened just now... in school!" I answered.

"I see, Hoseok and his mother is coming over later. We are going to bake brownies!" Mom told me and I could detect excitement in her voice.

Hoseok is coming.

I nodded my head and dashed upstairs. Taking off my clothes, I stepped into the shower and turned on the tap. The water finally heated up after some time and I stood under the shower head, letting the lukewarm water flow down from my head to toe. Ah, feels amazing. I pumped some shampoo onto my hand and lathered it onto my hair, making sure every centimeter is covered with it. I did the same for my body, and rinsed off all the soap thoroughly, feeling refreshed instantly. With a large towel, I dried my body and wrapped it around my waist. I opened the bathroom door and stepped out, not expecting what I saw moments after.

"TAEHYUNG!!!"
