Hey readers you are about to read part 2 to chapter 3. Just a heads up this part will have a really depressing part so I'm giving you a warning. Sad part will have a :( in front so you can be prepared or you can just skip. Man i really just noticed my story has a lot of sad parts. Well its not called Darkness Ahead for nothing... LoL And I personal do not like this chapter, I got kinda bored with it near the middle.

Dimitri's mind was a buzz with activity. Everything had gone crazy once Damien's glowing hands had healed Jade from a life-taking wound. Jade getting up from the table, her face flushed with the color of life. Dan tearing himself away from Luke as he lunged for Jade, nearly suffocating her in his bear hug that lasted 3 minutes. Luke's eyes had grown wide as he saw Jade alive and well, he seemed so happy for Dan that his eyes watered. Diana had passed out in shock, for a 'doctor' who had said Jade was going to die, seeing her stand up on her two feet pretty much was a surprise, alright. Then Damien had collapsed to the floor, nearly breaking his skull in by the hard impact to the floor. He was exhausted that was for sure. Healing Jade had most likely been his first heal.

Dimitri had picked Damien up from the ground with shaky arms, this was the one. The one in the prophecy. Dimitri had gently placed Damien on the table/bed, a war going on inside his body. Once he made sure Diana had checked the kid out and heard her say he was just out cold and would be ok Dimitri bolted out the door. Leaving a crying Jade being held in her brother's arms, a third-wheel Luke who stood awkwardly by Dan, and a still faintish Diana alone. He had to get air.

Once Dimitri had run a good 5 miles away from the Group's village he stopped, gasping for air a bit. He didn't have endless energy in the sunlight like Lights did. In fact the sun weakened him if he stood under it for to long. The war was still being waged inside of Dimitri and he didn't know what to do. Damien was the one in the prophecy. The one he had to fear. The only Light in the past centuries to be a healer. A part of Dimitri knew he had to kill the kid, he thought for a moment. Damien was no longer a kid but a teenager who was growing more dangerous and strong everyday. He had to be dispatched, but something held Dimitri back.

It was something Dimitri hadn't felt for the longest time, for so long that he even forgot how it felt like. Love. He loved that kid, Damien was like the little brother he once had. At the thought of his younger brother Dimitri stiffened. He could feel his face transforming with the wave of anger coursing through him. Every time Dimitri was angry his face would change monstrously. His eyes would go coal black, his teeth sharping to razor points and he would look similar to the demons he created. His brother. That simple word brought memories of Dimitri's buried past come bubbling to the surface of his mind. He couldn't stop it as he went into a particular terrible memory. The day his brother died.

Oh snap! A memory of Dimitri's past (in case you didn't get what you read before Dimitri is the creator of the demons and the main antagonist = for this story). Oh P.S. People I have an idea for writing a story explaining how Dimitri became an evil/bad guy.

:(     "DIMITRI!!!" A loud voice bellowed, Dimitri quivered in fear. He knew that voice so well, it was his father's. He glanced at his younger brother, Nathan who was shaking like a leaf. His eyes were water, and soon the tears started to fall down Nat's face and Dimitri steeled himself up. He took his brother's small hands and looked him in the eyes. "I won't let him hurt you. Ever" Dimitri said, trying to keep his voice from shaking. He had to be brave for his brother.

"NATHAN!!!" Their father yelled, Nat trembled and Dimitri hugged his brother fiercely, knowing it was only a matter of time before their father found them.

"I know one of you F**** ate my F****** turkey leg!" Dimitri cringed it was true. They had seen their father's turkey leg there on a dinner plate. They hadn't eaten food in days due to a punishment their father had given to them for not cleaning the house completely before he got home. He father thought that was justified punishment. 4 days no food for not cleaning on time. Dimitri had wanted to argue but he knew he had to hold his tongue unless he wanted a beating. Or worse, watch his brother get a beating.
