You stared blankly at the screen. Yet again the teacher thought that it would be genius to override your screens for the seventh time that lesson and to recap yet again. You knew what you were doing. You didn't need the stupid ass teacher recapping again and again and again. You wanted to get up and leave. But your future was built on this subject and however much you wanted to give it up? You just loved it way too much to even consider that. You glanced at your friend who had overridden the teacher so that he could carry on working. You admired Eduard. He was like Computer Jesus or something. He actually had the nickname CJ for a brief period for that very reason. It didn't stick though. He preferred Ed and everyone stood for his word and just called him Ed instead. He was just tapping away like nobody's business when he glanced down at you. It was awkward as you had let your chair down to as low as it could go and he was taller than you anyway. He also liked his chair as high as if could go. You looked tiny compared to him.
"Here let me help," he said calmly. His hands sped across the keyboard quicker than a flash of light and the override was cancelled. Just as you went to type everything crashed. You were done. You couldn't even save it because of the goddamn override. You tried to open the file but it wouldn't open. You head-butted the table and sighed really loudly. You heard a soft chuckle from beside you. Goddamn Ed. You looked up at him and pouted. He produced a memory stick from his pocket and plugged it in to the now reset computer. He downloaded all your work onto your account, sure it wasn't completely there but it was almost all there.
"Do you have everyone's work there?" You quizzed him.
"No, just mine and yours," he said looking back at his screen.
"Why?" You said raising an eyebrow.
"Cause I'm a nerd and you have potential"
You blushed at his remark and carried on with your work.
