Her  P.O.V.

I didn't wait for Logan’s answer and bolted for the open window, like an idiot. I could hide my presence, but not the effects it made on the environment! When I jumped out of the window and scaled the walls to the roof, it was proof of that guy’s- Isaiah’s- musings. My shoe-falls echoed off the shingles of the roof giving away my position and alerting the rest of the pack to my existence.

I jumped off the roof and into the tree to my right, not caring about the leaves and branches cutting and nipping at my clothes. 'Thank God for my training' I thought, jumping from tree to tree, away from the inn, right before the branch I occupied gave way sending me crashing to the forest floor with a grunt. My landing spot was a clearing surrounded by basswood and fir trees. It was probably beautiful in the day time, and I might have appreciated it if I wasn’t in the midst of trying to escape.

Tonight is definitely not my night, I mentally cursed as I heard a wolf bound through the forest and into the clearing where I sat. 'This is only getting more and more complicated...' Once again, I held my breath and examined this new foe, not making the same mistake of not fully cloaking my scent though. This time, I was determined not to be noticed.

This wolf terrified me, unlike the one back at the end there were none of those weird feelings, except for the fear which coursed through me like a tornado. He was transformed, a dark and dingy gray wolf with eyes that were a hungry green, like he was starved and insane. Maybe he had rabies.

The beast in front of me looked murderous as he loomed over the clearing emanating an aura that probably had any nearby animals running in fear. My mind reeled at the thoughts of what he'd do to me if he found me; I'd be torn to shreds, he'd use my bones as chew toys for his pups, I'd die a horribly painful death as he shook and ripped at my flesh and- okay, calm down, I could feel myself shaking, heat seared at my ears and a terrified agony spread over my form. My stomach was twisting into knots as I realized this could very well be my first and last mission.

He came closer, and with every deranged and predator-like step he took I felt new waves of terror wrack through me, until finally, he stood directly in front of me, sniffing the air; searching for me. I knew I couldn't be seen, but his closeness made my head pulse with confusion and ache every second he was there.  Grunting, he continued his examination of the enclosure, but still standing before me, dripping feral saliva from his jaw. His breathing deepened as he tried to catch a scent of where I might have gone. Inhale, exhale, inhale, puff… He sent a grunt of exhaustion my way, and his musk-like wolf breath made me want to sneeze. Crap.

'Watermelon, watermelon, watermelon, BANANA!' I thought squeezing my eyes closed and hoping to shock the sneeze away, but no luck.

"Miles!" A voice boomed in the distance.

Well, that sure did the job. I don't have to sneeze anymore, but now what?

The wolf in front of me turned in the direction of the voice, and a man, who had to have been a wolf as well, stepped out from behind the bushes.

"Get back to the inn" The man ordered, and the wolf growled in protest and shifted into his human form. This was the first time I had seen anything like it, a wolf shifting, I mean. I heard his bones crack and muscles tear as his skin bubbled and stretched, fur receding, until he was a man- a very naked, creepy looking man.
