CHAPTER 2// Powers

Alice

The phone was ringing. I ran to the phone from the kitchen. "Hello?" 

"Hello, is this Alice and Peter Logan?" 

"Yes, what can I do for you?" I asked.

"Well it seems like your children, Ren, Ariadne, and Benjamin Logan, have all gotten into an accident at Doctor. Mark's science lab down town. We have taken them straight to the emergency room. They are on there way there right now. We need you to come straight to the hospital." 

"Oh my god. Okay were on our way!" I said, then hung up. 

"Peter! Peter! Ren, Adne, and Benjamin are on there way to the emergency room, they got in an accident! We need to go!" Peter ran to the front door. He grabbed his jacket and his keys and  we ran outside. It was raining now. 

I got in the car at the same time Peter did. We drove as fast as we could without getting pulled over all the way to the hospital. When we got there, we saw the ambulance. I got out of the car and ran over to it. I saw Ren getting pulled out first. Then Benjamin, then Adne. My babies. 

You know for a 19, 17, and 16 year old, there really stupid. I bet that this was Adne. She always got her and the boys into trouble. I'm not gonna point fingers, and blame her before I even know what happened though. I do that to often. 

I ran up to them, and ran beside them as they were being pulled into the emergency room. 

"I'm sorry ma'am, but were gonna have to ask you to wait here." The Doctor said.

"What? But these are my children!" I yelled. 

"I know but please, just be patient. You can see them after." 

"What if there's nothing to see after! What if they die!" 

"They wont, I promise."

"Don't make promises that you can't keep Doctor." I said, my voice sounding more calm.

He turned around and ran ofter the other Doctors. Peter came up behind me and put a hand on my shoulder. "They'll be okay. There strong kids." He said. "I know."

Doctor

I ran into the emergency room and grabbed a defibrillator. I than ran over to the girl. All the other Doctor's were already trying the two boys. 

I rubbed it together. "Clear!" I shouted, then put it to her chest. Nothing happened. I tried again. I rubbed them together. "Clear!" I shouted, then put it to her chest. Nothing, again. One more time. I rubbed them together. "Clear!" I shouted, then put it to her chest. Nothing. 

"Forget it, there all flat lines." Somebody said from across the room. I sighed. I had promised the mother that they would live through this. I set the defibrillator down and started walking out of the room. 

But when I got to the door I heard beeping noises. I looked back at the kids. All there lines suddenly weren't so straight anymore.

Adne

I felt all of my life suddenly just come back to me, in one big impact, I was alive again. As soon as it happened I opened my eyes and jumped up. I jumped to a wall and stuck to it. How? I have no idea. I looked around and saw my brothers still laying on the beds. I ran over to Benjamin. In less than a second I was by his side. I don't know how I did it. I looked at him, then at his heart beat on the monitor. He wasn't a flat line no more. Why wasn't he waking up?
