CHAPTER 11//A Chance Missed
Benjamin
I was looking through previous things that have happened that were somewhat similar to all of the stuff that has been going on. I didn't find anything, because the only things that came up were from Marvel comics. I closed my laptop and walked downstairs. I grabbed my coat and walked out the door. I walked along the sidewalk. I wasn't sure what to think about this anymore. This type of stuff shouldn't be possible. What me and my brother and sister are shouldn't be possible. Except it was. It was complete reality. One thing that was bothering me though was Cole. Adne had me up until 1:00 last night telling me about how there was something he wasn't telling her. Maybe there wasn't something that he was telling her. Except it could be something as stupid as steriods. She seemed shocked when I said that though. She made me believe that it wasn't steriods, that it was something different and out of this world. After all the things that have been going on, I could easily believe anthing. I told her to ask Ren, but she told me that I could figure it out, and that Ren would make it obvious about what he was doing.
I still thought she should just go to Ren.

I was walking for the entire day. I was walking past the woods-which by the way I didn't know there were any even close to New York-when I heard people talking. They were close, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to hear it. It was dark and I was debating on going in or not. It was at least 10:00 at night. But I had to. I put my hands and lights came out of them.
I walked in, not knowing what I would come across.
As I walk further in the woods, the voices got louder. I stopped behind a bush where I could hear perfectly I dropped my hands, the lights vanishing.
"How are we supposed to get her there?" Asked a male voice. I reconized the voice, but I didn't know where from.
"Thats your job. Not mine. Your gonna talk to the Cole boy, give him a great idea on a date, which will lead him to bring her to our destination." I british accent said. I reclnized that voice to.
These voice were vaguely familiar to me, but for some reason I couldn't remember who they belonged to. Myabe it was because I was tired. I had been walking around all day.
I got up and started walking out of the woods. Once I was far enough away from the voices, I put up my hands, the light coming out so I could see.
I eventually made it out of the woods. As I walked back to my house, I thought about what those two were talking about.
Who was 'she'? Wait. They were talking about getting Cole to bring her to there destination. They planned on telling him about a perfect date. They must be talking about Adne. I stopped walking. I turned around and ran back to where I had heard the two talking. I honestly expected them to be there.
But they weren't.
I was disapointed. I could have figured out who the Wolf-Man was. But I was an idiot. I face-palmed, before walking out of the woods again.

When I walked in the door, Ren was sitting in a chair in the livingroom. I slowly closed the door, knowing that I was about to be yelled at.
Ren heard the door shut, and he snapped his gaze away from the T.V and towards me. I bit my lip, preparing for the worst.
"Where the hell were you?" Ren yelled at me. He didn't yell as loud as I though he would. Adne was probably asleep. "It's 11:00 at night! You have school tomorrow! I was worried sick! Theres some random guy out there injecting some drug into his body that turns him into some werewolf thing and you decide to go out until 11:00!"
I let out a shaky breath. I tried to keep calm. I knew that Ren wouldn't hurt me. But he has super strength now. He may not be able to always control it.
"Im sorry. I didn't mean to worry you. I didn't even mean to stay out this late." I whispered.
Ren sighed. He was suddenly calm. It was silent for a while.
"I know." Ren finally said. "Just don't do it again." He whispered. I nodded my head in agreement. Ren pulled me into a hug.
we stood there like that for a while. Just hugging each other.
"Aww! You girls are so cute!" A voice full of sarcasm sounded from the staircase.
Adne walked past us and towards the kitchen.
Me and Ren pulled away laughing. Adne poured herself a glass of water, not bothering to ask us for one. I rolled my eyes at her.
"Your just jealous that me and Ren have a better relationship than you and me." I said.
It was her turn to roll her eyes. "Having a relationship means caring. Which means having emotion. And we all know perfectly well i don't have those." She started to walk up the stairs, back to her room. "But you love Cole. And love is an emotion." I called out to her. She stopped in her tracks and turned around.
I could tell that she didn't have a comeback.
She stood there for a couple of minutes. Silent.
"Good night." She whispered, than disappeard into her room. And I knew she wasn't coming out for a while.
Because she wasn't used to having emotion. This would all be new to her.
