CHAPTER 10//Rose Peddles

Adne

I sat there shocked. He was back? Why? 

Cole walked over to me. He stood infront of me, and just stared into my eyes, while I stared back into his. He stretched out his hand. I looked at it for a while, than took it in mine. He helped me up. When I stood up, I didn't expect what happened next. He pulled me into him, his chest pushed against mine. Our noses just barely brushing. 

"What are you doing here?" I asked. He looked deep into my eyes.

"Because I promised to protect you. And I will never break that promise." 

"Well I don't need you to protect me. I can do that myself thanks." I said, walking out of his grip. 

"Yeah, than why didn't you?" He said. I stopped walking. I turned around and looked at him. 

"What?" I asked. 

"If you can prtoect yourself than why didn't you just protect yourself?" I didn't say anything. I just looked at him. "Admit it. If I hadn't been across the street, than you would have died." I didn't admit things. I was probably the most stuborn girl in the world. 

I walked over to him and got all up in his face. "That is not true. I could have killed him in a matter of seconds. And just because you came here and helped me, doesn't mean you have to be a total dick!" I yeld. 

"Whats going on here?" I heard a voice say from behind me. I turned around and saw Benjamin and Ren standing there. I walked over to them. "Nothing. Lets go." I said walking past them. "But-" "I said lets go!" I said cutting Bejamin off. Benjamin sighed, than started trailing behind me. I looked back at cole one more time, and gave him an evil glare. 

Ren

I didn't know what happened between Cole and Adne, but I knew from the way she looked at him it wasn't good. I looked back at him, he was looking at Adne. He looked kind of sad. I didn't even wanna think about how he feels. He just lost the girl he loved the most. That would be like death. But it made me feel better that he didn't break our promise after all, because he saved her.

When we got home I took my car keys and walked out to my car. I was going over to Coles. I walked out and jumped in my car. I knew exactly what to do.

I got there in less than ten minutes. I got out and knocked on the door, it was raining right now, perfect. This was all part of my plan. I ran up and knocked on the door. And old lady answer the door. "Hi is Cole home?" I asked. She nodded and I'm guessing went to find him. Cole came into view. When he got to the door, he had a confused look on his face. "Ren? What are you doing here?" He asked. "I'm here to get you Adne back." I said. 

Adne

I was so mad. I was pacing in my room. How could Cole take on the wolf man and I couldn't. Theres something that he didn't tell me. I heard a knock on the front door, but I ignored it. Benjamin would get it. I just kept thinking and pacing. But Benjamin didn't get it, because the knocking kept going on. I sighed and walked down the stairs and to the front door. Benjamin was sitting on the couch playing Call Of Duty. 

"Couldn't have gotten the door?" I asked. He didn't look away from the screen. "Nope, gotta kill some zombies." He said. "You know, you always complain about not being as smart as Ren, and yet you do this all day." I said. He nodded. I got to the door and opened it. But nobody was there. I looked down and saw rose peddles. I looked around confused. I turned around to Benjamin who was still playing Call Of Duty. I grabbed my black jacket and started to follow the peddles. 

I walked down the pathway in the front yard, down he road and to some field. It had perfectly green grass, blue flowers and the view was perfect. I looked around because the rose peddle trail had ended. I stood there confused. It was raining so I was of course, soaked. Than I heard a rustling from the bushes. I turned my head toward the sound. Than, someone I never thought in a million years would be here, appeared. He walked over to me with long strides. He stopped right in front of me. We were scary close. He looked at me, than leaned in and kissed me. It was a soft kiss. He didn't force anything, and he didn't try anything. He just kissed me, softly, and passionatly. But I didn't react like I thought I would. I thought I would push him away and run away, but I didn't, I did the complete opposite. I put my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. 

After we both pulled away we were completely out of breath. "What was that for?" I asked him, trying to catch my breath. He smiledand sayed, "Because you always wanted that romantic kiss in the rain, and you deserve to get it. I know I'm not the right guy to give it to you, but I thought that you should get it." He said. I smiled slightly. "No. Your the perfect guy."
