Lauren had called weekly to speak with Camila over the phone, and she'd discussed her decision of staying at the center for an extra month. She'd expressed she felt more at ease and in control of her emotions, and that she'd been practicing the cognitive behavioral therapy techniques they'd taught her.

For Camila, it meant another long month without her wife but for Y/N, it meant the third month of being able to bond with Camila.

Y/N was enjoying her time so much, she hadn't realized her time with Camila was up. It was the day of Lauren's return and Camila woke Y/N up with her joyful singing, meanwhile, Y/N couldn't manage to get out of bed.

Her head kept circulating with thoughts of missing Camila. She'd miss brushing her teeth right next to her as they got ready, waking up to Camila's voice, and how Camila would entangle her sock covered feet with hers while they slept.

All the little things Y/N had fallen in love with throughout their time together would get torn away by Lauren.

Y/N had grown to realize how much love Camila had to offer and she drowned in guilt for ever letting Camila go, and she built up resentment against Lauren for not being worthy of Camila's love.

"Don't forget, you have all six of us. If there's anything you need, we're here." Harry placed a hand on Camila's shoulder, the brunette nodded and turned to Y/N.

"Thank you for all you've done. You're an amazing friend." Camila pulled Y/N into an embrace. Despite the small pang in her chest at Camila's choice of words, Y/N reciprocated the hug.

"Call me if you ever need me," Y/N whispered in Camila's ear. Camila pulled away with a soft smile, "I will."

"Group hug!" Zayn approached them with open arms, engulfing the duo in a tight hug. Four pairs of arms added themselves to the embrace, and Camila's muffled giggling could be heard in the middle of the huddle.

"Alright, alright, she's got to get home," Liam announced, forcing his siblings to let Camila escape from their hug. Y/N was the last to pull away, and Camila rushed home to get ready.

As soon as the door shut, Louis faced his siblings.

"Do you genuinely think Lauren's gotten better?" He questioned, raising a skeptical eyebrow. Y/N shrugged and reached over to open the coffee table drawer.

"We'll have to wait and see, Lou." Harry plopped down on the couch as Y/N toyed with the old time capsule. She didn't dare open it without Lauren, it was the last sense of loyalty she had within their friendship.

"Y/N!"

Harry stumbled back up to his feet, rushing out with his four brothers behind him. Y/N recognized Camila's cheerful tone and calmly walked out of the front door. She saw the familiar raven-haired girl step out of a cab, with a bag slung over her shoulder. Camila ran out of her house and straight into Lauren's arms.

The boys awkwardly dug their heels into the ground, having almost gotten ready to pounce on Lauren.

Lauren staggered back but managed to hold Camila. The brunette peppered kisses all over her wife's face and Niall glanced over at Y/N worriedly.

Y/N averted her gaze as they shared a loving kiss.

Seeing Camila this excited to be with Lauren humbled Y/N. Camila had once been this excited to see her. It stung, to have the roles reversed.

"Y/N!" Camila shouted gleefully, to catch her best friend's attention. Y/N waved, making her way over to the married couple. She gave Lauren a once over, the girl definitely looked more at ease. A smile was practically stitched into her face and her posture was relaxed.
