To further get away from the past, Camila had decided to get professionals to tear her old house of horrors down. Of course, Y/N and her brothers couldn't miss out on the fun and decided to help the construction crew get a jumpstart on the progress. On the mound of dirt that was left of the Jauregui residence, Liam put his construction skills to the test and built a swing set as a tribute to Y/N and Camila's love. He'd also secretly planted tree seedlings, hoping it could become a new hangout spot for the lovers.

"We're going to be late!" Camila shook Y/N awake, the girl scrambled to her feet - taking her time to stretch. Camila disappeared into the hallway and Y/N rubbed her eyes, combing a hand through her tangled hair. It'd been six months of their sessions and she could physically feel the progress.

There were no more pits in her stomach. She couldn't remember the last time she'd had a panic attack and she no longer had to plan things a day in advance.

"Camila, we will handle it!" Harry's deep voice could be heard through the floors. Y/N quickly brushed her teeth, settling on throwing on a hat and sunglasses. She stepped down the staircase, watching Camila pace around the house, trying to move furniture around. A frustrated Harry slapped his hands to his sides, and Camila stepped toward him with arms crossed.

"They've been at it all day," Louis exhaled loudly, continuing to shift items around the floor.

"Mila, one thing at a time," Y/N put her body between them, shoving Harry to the side. She cupped Camila's face, coaching her through a breathing technique. Camila's nerves were running rampant, from not wanting to be late to therapy and wanting to set up the house for her family's arrival, Y/N understood her frustration.

"I'll set up the backyard, we can do something outside," Zayn stepped in. Y/N nodded in his direction, sprinting with Camila to get in the car.

"When I drive there's no way we can be late."

With two minutes to spare, Y/N and Camila raced into the elevator. They stared at one another with smirks on their faces,

Ding

The elevator doors slid open and Y/N sprung forward, fighting the hands that were locked around her waist. The couple giggled, shoving each other and racing down the hall.

Dr.Huang heard their echoing laughs from his office. He swung his door open, watching them try to regain their composure. Camila power-walked into the room first, and Y/N smiled at Dr.Huang as she entered.

Both girls skipped over the chairs to the beanbags. Dr.Huang moved his chair across from them, leaving his clipboard on his desk.

As both girls spoke, Dr.Huang made mental notes about their progress. Camila no longer flinched when Y/N raised her voice, be it in an aggressive manner or not. They both seemed to be at ease in each other's presence, leaning into one another when they choked up during the session or talked about a difficult topic. They had nearly no arguments, and when they did - they'd deal with it maturely. Camila had developed a new routine of meditating at least ten minutes a day, practicing her positive thoughts as Dr.Huang ordered.

"Camila, your family is coming to visit, yes?" Dr.Huang remembered the topic from the last session. At the mention, Camila's shoulders tensed up, she nodded and sunk into the beanbag chair.

"Yes, I'm a bit nervous but I'm happy to have them over. I haven't seen them in a long time, ever since I was with Lauren..."

Camila trailed off, Dr.Huang gave her a supportive smile. Lauren had caused a drift between Camila and her family. She'd been isolated from them, another factor that gave Lauren more control.

"But Y/N, she'd always visit and come over with her brothers when we were younger. I'd like to do that now, as adults. To close the distance that's been created."

"Anything else you'd like to discuss?"

Y/N nodded at Dr.Huang's final question at every session,

"I'm still not over Camila using the song I dedicated to her at her wedding," Y/N playfully glared at her girlfriend, Dr.Huang couldn't help but crack a smile.

"I'm still not over you not accepting the promise ring I bought you," Camila retaliated,

Dr.Huang decided to intervene on the jokes. Seeing as both his patients had improved and been doing their treatments as ordered, he moved their weekly couples therapy sessions to monthly check-ins. As for Y/N, she'd have to individually check in with him every month too.

"I'm too pretty to do any heavy lifting," Louis rested his legs against a chair, watching as Zayn barked orders at the rest of his brothers.

Harry entertained himself on the swings while Liam readied the grill. Niall who'd mainly organized the tables outside wiped the sweat from his forehead, sighing in relief as Y/N and Camila appeared to help.

Y/N caught sight of Niall's eyes widening, and she turned around to see a blur run across the lawn and hurdle into Camila. The brunette stumbled harshly, wrapping her arms around the smaller brunette attached to her.

"Hey, Sofi." Camila felt her sister's grip tighten around her waist, she held her, looking up to see her mom already greeting Y/N. She crept over with Sofia still attached to her.

"Are those tattoos?" Her mother's voice sounded stern, she shook her head at Y/N. As the rest of the boys came over, she gasped, noticing their tattoo-covered bodies.

"See, he's a good boy." She went over to pinch Niall's cheeks, the rest of his siblings laughed, greeting her enthusiastically. Knowing Camila needed to have a serious conversation, Harry pried Sofia off her sister, showing her the swing set. The rest of the four boys followed along to keep the smaller girl entertained.

Camila's dad waited by the table, getting up to engulf his daughter in a hug. She squeezed her arms around him, giggling as he twirled her around. Then Camila returned to Y/N's side, taking a seat across her parents. They'd gotten a bit of information through Taylor, but never got the full story. All they knew was Lauren was in jail and their daughter had gotten a divorce.

Camila explained her story, almost like a script she'd rehearsed. Sinu and Alejandro were heartbroken about what their daughter suffered through. It hurt Alejandro deeply knowing he'd been the one to give his little girl away at her wedding.

"But I'm better now, I'm doing therapy, and I have all of you." Camila's eyes wandered over her new family, her parents reached over to grab her hands in support. They'd trust Y/N to help Camila heal and to make sure they were in the loop from now on.

As they sat at the table, Camila toyed with the rounded wooden box in her pocket. It'd been years, and against Dr.Huang's words, she hadn't been able to let go of it.

It was a piece of the past she didn't want to let go of.

She cleared her throat as she stood up, clapping her hands together to catch everyone's attention.

"There's another reason why I invited you today..."
