You saw my reflection this morning,
But mirrors don't show you what's inside
Sorry I can't be what you see,
I'll never be what you need

I'm only what I dream to be
I'm only what I think you need
I hate mirrors because I know my mind,
And all I ever see is everything I want to hide

Don't say you like my eyes,
They hold all my lies
Don't tell me you love my heart,
It'll eventually tear yours apart

Don't sing about my beauty
It's only skin deep
Mirrors lie all the time
You're just the next in line

Don't listen to the mirror,
It'll tell you every thing you want to hear,
It plays a game of glass darts,
With a silver tongue of glass shards
All it plays is false cards
And all it's promises are written on stones in graveyards

It'll tell you
"Yes, they're the one"
Then cock it's loaded gun
Because reflections like to lie
They don't show the insides

Say you love me, say you need me in your life
Say I'm gonna be your wife
But be careful when you turn around
I'll always be holding this goddamn knife

Don't tell me you love my heart,
Because it'll eventually tear yours apart
Mirrors lie all the time
You're just the next in line
