The Wall Between Us(ON HOLD)

Chapter 5

(Skyler's POV)

I had to process what Katherine had just said. She doesn't remember me. I started tearing up and yelled, "What have you done to her?!"

"Oh, you didn't know? Hmmm, let's see...No!" The lady cackled,"And stop calling me monster, got that? Just call me Kate."

"Well Kate, whatever you did to her, you'd better undo right now!" I yelled.

"Mother, what's going on? Who are they?" Asked Katherine as she blankly stared at us, me.

"I totally forgot! Katherine dear, meet your father's murderers and the cause of his banishment," Kate smirked all shark-like.

"What?! We did not banish him! He brought it upon himself!" Argued Demeter. It was futile to argue, even I knew that.

"Katherine don't listen to her! Didn't you say you hated him?" I asked,  hoping to somehow find her. The real her.

"Mom, father was a fair man?" Katherine asked Kate.

"Don't you get it! She isn't your real mom!" I excalimed, utterly enraged.

"She will always be my mom, and I will avenge father," Katherine spoke flatly as she got a dagger ready. "Who should I start with?"

"Start with the girl that claims I'm fake," answered Kate, stepping back to observe the show.

"Gladly," Katherine obeyed.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to find a way to save my sister, so I started trying to break the chains around my wrists.

"Oh please, you think I didn't know about your little secret? Those chains around your wrists aren't normal, they're made of wolfsbane," Kate explained snugly. I growled.

"Now now wolf girl, save that energy for the killing," she coo-ed.

Katherine points the dagger to my throat, and suddenly, without alert, Demeter breaks free from her chains.

"How did you-" I started.

"-pick a lock?" Demeter completed with a cheesy grin adorning her face.

"Enough chit chat, it's time to end this," Katherine said as she charged at Demeter.

"So sorry about this Kath," said Demeter as she punched Katherine away from her.

"Oh no you didn't..." Katherine murmured under her breath, and what I never expected happened.

Katherine looked up with deep yellow eyes, as in werewolf yellow eyes, fangs, and ears.

"No way.." I muttered. Katherine then growls loudly at Demeter and charges again.

"Y-you turned her?!" I yelled at Kate while trying to control my blue wolf eyes from revealing again.

"Oh my, you didn't know? She was always a half werewolf," Kate stated as though it was obvious.

"Half?" I wondered aloud.

"Yes, half. After you pathetic father Derek Hale disappeared, I took the chance to research your little family," she said.

"Katherine, stop!" Yelled Demeter as she jumped away from Katherine's incoming charge.

"YOU WITCH, LET ME GO!" I yelled as I fought the urge to rip out Kate's throat.

"Afraid I can't do that darling," drawled Kate as she watched the scene unwrap.

I couldn't bear it, Katherine was slashing Demeter continuously and Demeter was just left there helplessly pleading her to stop.

"Kath, this isn't you...please, please," said Demeter as tears poured down her blood stained cheeks.

"All it takes is one more blow, just one..." said Katherine slowly walked over to a pleading and crying Demeter with glowing green and yellow eyes.

Demeter then gasped at a thought and smiles widely.

"Why are you smiling? Embracing your death?" Katherine spoke as she growled at her expression.

"Up on the hill and near the lake..." Demeter murmured as she stood up.

Katherine froze, staring at her prey.

"We were in a dream and never wanted to wake," Demeter sang, wiping her tears.

"What are you waiting for? Kill her!" Kate ordered.

Kate was then caught off guard, so I took the chance and stood up.

"I still remember how it all changed, the day you turned my world around," I sang.

Katherine covers her wolfed up ears and yells, "Stop! Shut up!".

I nod to Demeter and she smiles.

"It was rare to find a friend like you, all I wanna be is a sister to you" I sang along with Demeter.

"ATTACK THEM YOU FOOL!" yelled Kate.

Katherine turns back to her normal non-wolf form and then starts crying.

"that night we said the words.." Katherine sang as she broke down to the ground crying.

Demeter kneels down to Katherine and says "welcome back, Kath" and pulls her into a hug.

"Skyler, mom, dad.." Katherine murmured and then turns to me in realization with even more tears.

"Kat?" I asked while stepping closer to her.

"I remember...you, mom, dad, my real family. I remember!" She yelled and I couldn't help but laugh happily and hug her.

"Sisters forever?" I asked and Katherine just nods happily and wipes away her tears.

"Even you Demi" said Katherine and Demeter looks at her shocked.

"B-but I blamed you, I hated you, I-I was terrible to you...I am so sorry" cried Demeter as she cried into her best friend, my sister, after weeks of hatred.

"Group hug?" Asked Katherine with that same cheesy smile.

We all just hugged as if we were the only people on earth.

"This so sweet honestly" said Kate mockingly as she pulled out a dagger from her belt slots and shoots it at Demeter, and I watch in terror as My best friend collapsed to the ground.

"DEMETER!" Katherine yelled.
