Chapter 6

(Katherine's POV)

I watched in Horror as my best friend collapsed to the ground with a giant pool of blood around her.

"DEMETER!" I yelled as I fell to one knee and held her head in between my arms.

"Demi, Demi!" I cried while shaking her.

I saw Demeter slightly open her eyes and smile weakly at me.

"S-so, t-t-this is it for me?" she said as she kept smiling.

"Demeter y-you idiot! Don't say that! W-we're gonna save you!" I said as tears made my voice shaky.

"I-I'm glad y-y-you're okay, i-i was such a f-fool" she admitted and I shook my head.

"You're not! You're my best friend Demeter, you always will be" I said denying the fact that she was dying.

"I w-wish I c-could s-stay t-t-to fulfill th-that, but my t-time is over" she said as tears flooded her eyes.

"Demeter please stay with me!" I yelled as more tears fell.

"G-good bye, t-t-tell my d-dad i-i love h-him, and i-im sorry f-for being a t-terrible fr-friend" she said with her last breath.

And that was it.

Her head fell sideways and her eyes closed.

"Demi? Demi!!" I cried as I looked for a heart beat, a pulse, anything.

Her heart stopped beating, and her pulse was gone, she stopped breathing.

She was gone, and I was left here to crumble with my guilt.

"Demeter! Demeter!! Don't you dare die on me please!!!" I yelled as I pressed and pressed over her heart.

Skyler, my sister as I remembered, placed her hand on my shoulder and shook her head.

I got up and hugged tightly on the only person I had left and cried into Skyler's shoulder.

"Aww did I just break a heart?" Kate said mockingly as she laughed like the freak she is.

I turned to her and yelled "you monster!!! You blood thirsty maniac monster! You killed her!!!".

"Whats wrong? Cant bear the guilt that you're the reason she died?" Kate said as her smirk grew wider.

"I'm gonna kill you!!!!" I yelled as my eyes turned yellow and I pounded on that monster.

"I'd like to o see you try" she said as she dodged all my slashes.

Skyler gets in her other form and attacks Kate with me.

"Axar mabusha anala pavera Angara" Kate spoke as she clutched her heart.

Skyler and I looked at her in complete clueless-ness at what she has spoken.

"I've completed my mission" Kate said as she let me slash her heart.

She dropped on the floor and sinks in her own pool of blood.

I turned to Skyler and she was speechlessly looking into my eyes.

"W-what?" I asked as tears reformed and I realized what I have done.

"Y-your eyes, they turned blue" she said as she put away her wild form.

"W-what does that mean?" I asked.

"Don't you get it? You killed her" Skyler said as she had a look of fear in her eyes.

"I killed her.." I repeated as I collapsed to the ground and started crying again.

Skyler drops beside me and protectively wraps her arms around me.

"Why am I still alive?" I asked Skyler as I looked into her eyes.

"Kat what are you-" but I interrupted her.

"I can't live like this Sky, I caused my own best friend's death and then killed Kate. How can I live like this?!" I yelled as I cried and cried.

"Kat it wasn't your fault" Skyler stated as she got up and pulled me into a hug.

I broke the hug and looked at my claws, and then at Skyler.

"Kat, don't you da-" again, I cut her off.

"I can't live up to this guilt Sky, I just can't" I said as remembered all the good moments in my life.

"You can't do this Katherine! I already lost my only friend! I can't lose my sister too!" She yelled through her now shaky voice with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry..." I said as I closed my eyes and did what I was sure to be my last action, ever.

"No! Don't!" Skyler yelled.

I clawed my chest so deep my blood poured out immediately and I collapsed to the ground.

Darkness took over.

(Skyler's POV)

No no no no!

I fell onto my knees in between the two bodies of my only family excluding my mom.

I lost them both, just like my dad.

I started crying fresh warm tears that stung my blood shot eyes.

That's when I heard steps and a, growl?

A figure ran from the shadows towards Demeter's lifeless body so fast only a werewolf like me could see it.

"Wh-who are you?!" I yelled as I ran closer to Demeter.

The figure leaned in and did what I never saw coming, the figure bit Demeter on her sides and got up.

"Did you just-" I was interrupted when I saw the figure turn around to look at me.

The figure just smiled at me with his slightly green eyes and walked toward Katherine.

The person, or whatever it was, leaned in next to Katherine and, sniffed her?

The persons picks up Katherine in his arms and I just stare at the man, I assumed as his face cleared.

The man then looks at Katherine as a tear shed in his eyes a d he turned to me with a broad smile.

I knew that smile.

And I knew that face.

I gasped at my realization as who the man was.

I smiled as tears flowed down remembering the man.

Derek Hale, my dad.
