I walked out of the gas station my body shaking violently. I got into my car and turned the radio on low. I put the stick on top of the brown paper bag resting on the passenger seat. 30 more seconds. 20. 10...9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2...1. I picked the stick up with fumbling fingers and looked down at it anxiously. Two lines. Positive. I passed out. When I woke up I looked at the car clock and I'd only been out for a couple of minutes. It felt like years.
