It's now the summer of before 11th grade. At this point Carrie is still dating butthead Luke, Rae and Scott are officially dating as of December, and Ryan had a million girls all over him as usual but didn't pay much attention to them. Scott, Rae, and Ryan we're sitting outside in the parking lot of Montevallo High on the last day of school watching Carrie and Luke. Luke got his college letter letting him know if he got into University of Georgia. Luke opened the letter and picked Carrie up, kissed her and celebrated. He got in and Carrie was trying to be excited but also very sad. Luke didn't pay much attention to her, she sat in the jeep and looked over to her friends and then looked down.

"Finally maybe she'll realize he's no good for her" Ryan seared his eyes into Luke from a far.

"Yeah we'll see at this party tonight, how he's going to handle this situation." Rae and Scott both agreed looking at Carrie from a far.

The night of the party and everybody showed up at one of the senior's house celebrating Luke's acceptance into Georgia and the last day of school. Luke was trying to bring Carrie upstairs but she refused. Then he started to attempt to grope her by the staircase.

"Luke enough! Stop being like this." Carrie said.

"Alright can't get anything from my girlfriend before I go away great." Luke stormed off.

Carrie searched for her friends and didn't have any luck. She walked upstairs and finally found them in the second living room.

"Hey y'all you having fun?" Carrie trying to hide her sadness asked her friends.

"You aren't, what did douche bag do know?" Ryan angrily tone assumed

"Nothing he just doesn't like that I don't give him "any". No big deal." Carrie expressed.

"Where's the bathroom I got to go pee dude." Scott asked Carrie.

"Not sure I think it's down that hallway." She directed him.

All of them got up to try and find the bathroom, Rae heard a weird noise coming from a room with the door peeped open.

"Y'all let's see what losers are hooking up with the door open!" Rae motioned her friends to peep through.

Carrie peeped first and quickly went stiff, Rae wondered what happened so she peeped through and her mouth dropped...

"What the heck Luke! What are you doing! OH MY GOD WHAT THE HECK!! WHAT"S A MATTER WITH YOU!!!!!" Carrie starts screaming and crying. People began to crowd.

"Listen babe not right now I'm busy here and there are a lot of people." Luke said with no bother.

"YOU ACT LIKE I GIVE TO FOLKS THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE HERE!!!!" Carrie continues

"Babe, you didn't give me any action. I've got needs you're my girl but..." Luke says as he rolls himself out the bed putting on his pants.

"YOU SCHMUCK!!! AHHH!" Carrie screams as she throws the vase that was on the dresser. "HOW LONG? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS! YOU THROW 2 YEARS AWAY LIKE THAT!!!"

"Carrie chill out, about a 1 year I've gotten stuff from other girls. So I guess this is a good time to tell you that. It's a laugh you didn't think we were going to stay together when I went off to college; oh wait you did ahhaha!!!" Luke said like what was happening was no big deal.

Carrie ran out crying as everybody tries to comfort her but she ran straight to Scott's car. Rae and Scott followed but Ryan had one thing to say.

"Listen douche bag I would beat the crap out of you right now but she's more important and why waste energy on a low life on you. A person who has to have their daddy bribe the University to let you in." Ryan smirked as he ran out to catch up to Carrie.

Everybody laughed at Luke as he has just been humiliated in front of everybody. He was no longer Mr. Cool, he was the laughing stock of this party and peoples throwback stories to come.

Ryan jumps in the back of Scott's car with Carrie and Rae as Scott rushes back to Carrie's. Carrie was lying across Ryan's lap with her legs across Rae. Nobody said a word they just let her cry. When they got back to Carrie's Ryan picked her up and carried her up to her room with her head buried in his shoulder. Rae explained to her parents what happened and followed behind Ryan. He placed Carrie on her bed covered her in her favorite blanket then sat down on one side of her. Rae towards her head, Scott across from Ryan and her parents at the foot of the bed, still silence with the heartbreaking cries of Carrie.

"Hey baby girl, I wish I could say more but he was a schmuck and I never liked him. I mean he thought I was weird." Her dad let out hoping for a laugh.

A small laugh he got that broke the silence and got her to speak.

"He was... I... I just want to cry...." Carrie tried to speak but just continues to cry.

"It's okay to cry, just let it out honey. Heartbreaks suck and it will get better. You have wonderful friends that are surrounding you right now." Her mom said as she got up to give Carrie a kiss. Then left the room after her dad gave her a kiss too.

They all laid there with her, the room was no longer filled with crying because Carrie had fallen asleep in Ryan's arms. Scott and Rae were sound asleep as well; Ryan too was laying in an uncomfortable way in order to keep Carrie asleep. The next morning her parents walked up to the room with pancakes for them all.

"Good afternoon sleepy heads." She greeted them all.

"Morning" they all answered back.

Laughter filled the room with everybody telling funny stories. Scott and Rae told Carrie they would be back tomorrow with a fun package. Ryan told her he would be back tomorrow too to give her some time. Carrie had laid in bed all day that day never once did she get up except to take a shower. The next morning Ryan could see out his window that Carrie was still crying and hadn't moved much. He walked over to Carrie's and up to her room. Her smile lightened as he walked through her door. He sat down on her bed and she wrapped him in a hug, he kissed he forehead.

"Ryan you've been such a good friend, I wouldn't survive without you. But I've been thinking a lot and Luke isn't the only reason I'm so upset"

"What do you mean Carrie? What else is bothering you?"

"Well Ryan, I've been a horrible friend to you, you've protected me through so much. You were my shoulder to cry when it came to anything including Luke. You would ditch dates to hang out or help me when I was sad. I never considered you're feelings. I was on the phone with Rae and she told me. She told me what you said our last friend's night to Scott."

"Carrie, I don't want that to change this. Don't worry about that, you're my best friend and I do love you. You weren't supposed to know..."

"But I do know, and I stayed with Luke because I was afraid to let go."

"Why?"

"Because I love you, and if I let go of him then I was just another girl fawning over you. But I know that it wasn't the case. Because you loved me back and I was holding you in a dungeon."

"I would stay in a dungeon forever if I meant maybe one day you would love me back."

They looked into each other's eyes. Ryan saw the girl he fell in love with. He brushed back her blonde hair, and intense moment of silence. He leaned in to kiss her, there was small fireworks as he stopped he looked at her and she pulled him back to kiss again. There was a clapping heard at the door. They both looked over to see both of their parents, Rae, and Scott. They both let out a small bit of laughter. Carrie placed her head gently on Ryan's shoulder looking t the doorway.

"About time! We couldn't keep the secret any longer." They all said with relief

"You all knew and it took this long for you to tell me! I've been drowning here!" Carrie laughed with a smile that hasn't appeared since she started dating Luke.
