ariana took her bags and stood there for a moment. meeting someone was always hard for her. what if she said the wrong thing and embarrassed herself? or what if she didn't say anything and angel and cara thought she was some socially awkward freak?

she began having second thoughts.

maybe she should just fly back home and say she came down with something...

"ariana?"

ariana turned around slowly. a smile formed on her face as she saw angel standing five feet away. her hair was up in a bun, just like her picture, but instead of wearing her striped shirt, she wore a bright pink crop top that exposed her pierced stomach. she was beautiful.

before ariana could respond, angel had her in a tight hug, laughing. ariana dropped her bags and hugged angel tightly. "it's so nice to meet you," she breathed.

angel pulled away and smiled, nodding. "you too!" she exclaimed. "you are so pretty in person!"

ariana grinned as a blush formed on her cheeks. "thanks," she said, noticing the small tattoo on angel's hip. "you look like you stepped out of a fashion magazine. i mean, just look at you! why didn't i know about this?" she joked, poking angel's stomach gently.

angel laughed and shrugged. "guess i forgot about it for a second. was cara supposed to be here?"

"she said she was driving, so, i don't know."

"oh, yeah, duh." angel picked up one of ariana's bags and smiled at her. "wanna go get some coffee?"

ariana grabbed her other bag and nodded. "that would be great. i barely got any sleep on the plane."

"well, come on!"

angel seemed very outgoing, and ariana liked it.

"how long have you lived in california?" angel asked politely, taking a sip of her coffee. the coffee shop that they stopped at was very small and not as crowded as ariana had expected. usually every coffee shop in california was packed.

she was glad to be back in her home state.

"um, since i was eight," ariana said, setting her coffee down. "my mom moved there when her and my dad got divorced."

angel's eyes saddened. "aw, i'm sorry. i understand how it is. my parents got divorced when i was ten."

ariana nodded, looking down at her hands. a buzz from her phone made her and angel look at the device. "maybe it's cara?"

angel shrugged as ariana picked up her phone. she grinned. "yep. says she's near orlando."

"maybe we should go to my house and have her meet us there."

"sounds like a plan."
