Queen Kargonah Era (QKE)
0 QKE: Recorded history of Kargon begins.
1 QKE: Queen Kargonah becomes the undisputed ruler of the Western Kingdom shortly after the death of King Hujjar. Kargonah tries to repair the tenuous relationship between the Western Kingdom and Eastern Realm.
5 QKE: The first recorded library and public education system is built. Entire tribal settlements migrate to prosperous cities at a faster rate. Kargonah marries Deljin, a commoner, but maintains control of the throne.
6 QKE: Envoy’s from the clans in the east arrive to start diplomatic relations with Kargonah after they realize she is not the barbaric leader they first feared. Kargonah commissions the first world map to be created.
11 QKE: The accumulation of vast western economic wealth becomes widely known to the east.
13 QKE: Eastern clan leaders become openly envious of Kargonah’s power, the enormous wealth she oversees, and the spreading influence she has over the eastern populace.
15 QKE: Rhetoric against her being a female with such power begins to surface; dangerous rumors of a unified war against the west reaches Kargonah’s court.
16 QKE: Kargonah publicly abdicates the throne in favor of her husband, Deljin.
17 QKE: Deljin solidifies the west’s image against the east, and tensions between the tribal leaders and the Western Kingdom subside.
20-30 QKE: Economic and scientific progress slows significantly under the rule of King Deljin. Queen Kargonah remains a beloved public figure.
31-76 QKE: Economic, scientific, and technological progress completely plateaus; no progress on projects is reported.
77 QKE: Kargonah passes away from old age. She bore no heir.
79 QKE: Deljin passes away from old age naming a court official as his successor.
80-88 QKE: Mismanagement of the Western Kingdom greatly diminishes the wealth and prosperity of the west. The relationship between the west and the east crumbles again.
89 QKE: The throne is abdicated with no clear line of succession. The Western Kingdom splits into tribes once again.
90 QKE: Instability creates open war, engulfing both the east and the west; lust for power overwhelms any attempts at peace.
91 QKE: Any sense of identity disappears. Wars between all factions continue. “The Dark Age” begins.
302 QKE: Khivar Cen’re Azarante is believed to be born in the Akora clan.
319 QKE: Khivar’s swordsmanship skills and tactical acumen win him prestige within the Akora clan.
320 QKE: Khivar becomes leader of the Akora clan and begins aggressively absorbing other clans.
324 QKE: Akora accounts for half of the old Eastern Realm.
327 QKE: Khivar attains possession of the entire Eastern Realm.
328 QKE: Khivar begins his expansion into the old Western Kingdom, absorbing everything in his path. He meets Brivanna from one of the western tribes.
334 QKE: Akora absorbs the last tribe; Khivar creates the capital at the very center of the land and significantly increases the size of his army to deal with insurrection. He marries Brivanna.
Khivaran Era (KE)
0 KE: The Khivaran Era begins when Khivar names the newly unified land “Kargon” and its citizens “Kargonans” in Queen Kargonah’s honor, creates one monetary exchange system, abolishes all dialects except for one, re-establishes the public education system, rebuilds libraries, builds large, prosperous cities to begin Kargonan commerce, and integrates various cultures to form one Kargonan identity.
3 KE: Khivar establishes Kargonan law and the justice system. Brivanna gives birth to a son.
6 KE: Disdain and bitterness among Akorans who did not fight with Khivar spreads. Brivanna gives birth to a daughter.
7 KE: The last insurrection begins; 25% of all Kargonans rebel. Brivanna gives birth to a son.
9 KE: The rebellion is crushed; all who took up arms are executed. The leader of the rebellion is publicly hung, set on fire, and beaten to death at King’s Tower. Khivar forces each faction to separate and scatters them throughout Kargonan cities.
10 KE: Khivar publicly establishes the Rule of Enlightened Despotism and the Commons Decree as requirements to being in any form of leadership in Kargon, including royalty.
11 KE: Khivar publicly establishes the traits of a Kargonan, loyalty and humility being the most prominent, and sends his children out to serve the common people as they come of age.
12 KE: Khivar continually expands Kargonan commerce, infrastructure, and public arts.
58 KE: Khivar passes away from old age at 88. On his death bed, he selects his daughter, Kivara, to succeed him.
