Chapter 3.

Baekhyun's pov

Right after class i was packing my bag ready to leave when i received a call from my dad "Baekhyun we are going to the Kim's residence now make sure you make your way there too we have business to talk to over dinner." said dad "I thought we were suppose to end contact with them?" I said "I think we will reconsider about that but now we have to talk about our business with theirs so they invited us over for dinner so to be polite i want you there. Remember to be on your best behaviour!" said dad
Well i guess i have no choice since dad put it that way.

It's been awhile since i've been to the Kim's residence, i remembered that they didn't move at all. The house is near the school anyway so i decided to walk.
"Hey, you going somewhere bro? I thought we are going to hang out?" asked Minyeol when he saw me leaving class "Yeah man i'm sorry but i have matters to attend to, i will see tomorrow alright?" "Well okay, i will just hang out at the basketball court down the road." said Minyeol "alright bro." and i left.

I was pretty worried that Hyunji will see me walking to her house so i decided to head there quickly before she heads home. When i reach her house i saw my parents with mr Kim and Hyunmin hyung, i introduced myself and we talk until Hyunji arrives home. Her dad explained to her on whats going on, everything was okay until my dad asked me to greet her, i gave my dad that look saying 'what are you doing dad?' And he showed me 'just go with it' look so i decided to act like how i use to and said that i do not remember her.

Practically, i have my reasons on doing so. I'm not so sure on why my parents are talking to the Kim's again after all this years but i'm sure they will explain later at home but now lets get to business...

-skip to dinner-

My parents was talking to Mr Kim when Hyunji decided to dismiss herself followed by Hyunmin hyung, i wonder what's going on? Is it because of what i said to her earlier? I decided to excused myself to the washroom but actually i wanted to know what they were talking about. I found them at the backyard staring at stars while talking to each other and i realised that Hyunji was look pretty sad. I do not know why i'm feeling like this, i don't understand. I was listening to their conversation and i heard her said "i mean why is he acting this way? It's been years and i still don't know whats going on with him." I'm doing this for you Hyunji-ah and i know you don't know that and i will make sure it stays that way. I just walk off after hearing that, i went back to the diner and sat down after a few minutes Hyunji and Hyunmin hyung came back.
Hyunji and i made some eye contact but i quickly looked away.

"I think we have come to a conclusion, thank you Mr Kim for this wonderful meal with your family. It's been years since we met again." said my dad "Your welcone Mr byun, i hope that our business will be as wonderful as our friendship. I will see you tomorrow for our meeting." said mr kim our family did our greetings and we decided to head home.

"Baekhyun i think we should stop this act now, it's been years since grandma past away and i do not want you to make Hyunji sad anymore. I know you make a promise to grandma to protect Hyunji but you can protect her even better when you are her friend." said mom "Yes Baekhyun, what your mother is saying is correct. You should listen to us now i'm sure grandma wouldn't mind right." said dad "NO DAD, MOM! Grandma and i made a promise to protect the Kim's after her death, if i start talking to Hyunji again she might get to serious trouble." My parents doesn't understand at all!!! I know my parents had to do busniess with the Kim's but that doesn't mean i have to be friends with them again. I made a promise and a promise is a promise.

Hyunji's pov

"Dad, why are we doing business with the Byun's? Haven't we lost contect with them long ago?" "We bump to each other when i went to Hong Kong for my business trip, since we both wanted to expand our compnay bigger we made a decision to joined together and make the company bigger sweetie." said dad "yeah little bear, you should go to sleep now you have school tomorrow. About the business me and dad will handle it okay?" said oppa "i'm not a little kid anymore!!!" i shouted they always treat me like i'm a child, i'm already 19. "you are to me!!!" shouted oppa and he shooed me to my room.

Hmm... i wonder why Baekhyun was all quiet during dinner and he avoided my eyes too when i stared at him. Why am i even thinking about him! Let's just sleep Hyunji-ah.
