Tris POV
I roll over in bed and see Tobias still asleep. I get out of bed and walk out onto the balcony to see the sun rising. I smile as the warm rays hit my skin. Just then I see a messanger from Erudite. "Attention all, Queen Jeanine has agreed to call of the war if you turn over Queen Tris. I repeat, no harm will come to you if you hand over Queen Tris." With that he rides off. I sigh and look over my kingdom, deciding if I should turn myself in. "Don't you dare think about it." I hear Tobias say. I turn to look at him and see he is right behind me. "Why, if I turn myself in then nothing happens to the kingdom, our people will be safe. I don't want to be the reason my kingdom suffers." I tell. "You can't go. If you do I can guarantee you what will happen in the end. You'll never come home to me." He tells me look me in the eye. I sigh. "Okay fine I won't go." He nods and I go downstairs to find everyone eating. I sit down and so does Tobias. "Morning Mother, Father, Olivia." "Morning Tris." Mother reply's. I smile at Olivia and eat my food quietly. "I assume you heard the messenger from Erudite?" Father asks and I nod. "Well I hope you don't plan on going." I sigh. "I don't know. I'm so confused between this and being a Divergent-." As soon as the word leaves my moth I fling my hands over my mouth and I hear Mother gasp. "Your a Divergent?" Mother asks and I nod. "I've read legends about them. They say the fairies are the most beautiful people anyone has ever seen and the werewolves are the bravest anyone has heard of." Caleb says. "So is Tobias one?" Father asks. I nod. "Can I see your wings!" Olivia squeals. I shrug. "I don't see why not." I stand up and walk away from the table before changing. I open my eyes and see my family staring at me. I smile and look over at Tobias who smiles back. "Your wings are so pretty." Olivia says. "Thank you." "That's new." Tobias says pointing to my head. I walk over to the hallway mirror and see a crown of flowers and twigs. I shrug and walk back to the dinning room." "How did you find out you were a Divergent?" Mother asks. "Our friends. Everyone I brought last night." Just then I remember they are still here. "I'll be right back." I run up stairs and knock on their doors yelling that it is breakfast time. I go back down stairs and see all the servants are staring at me. I shrug not really caring and go back to the dining room. "Sorry I just remembered that my friends spent the night." My family laughs and I change back to normal just as the gang comes down. We let them eat and as soon as they are done eating we are pulled out side to find out what powers I have. "Okay, Tris you need to transform." Chris tells me. I nod and change. "Okay, now we are going to try a few things lets start off seeing if you have my power. Go try to freeze the fountain." I do as I'm told and after a few tries it freezes. "Good job Tris. So we know you can control the weather and you ice, let find out what else."
By lunch we have found out that I have all the girls powers, plus I can hypnotize other, which I found out I could do on accident. "Okay, lets call it a day. We can take off from where we left off tomorrow." Shauna says. We nod and go get something to eat. After dinner everyone goes to bed but me. When I'm sure everyone is asleep I start to write a note.
Dear Tobias,
I'm sorry, but I can't sit by while my kingdom is threatened. By the time you get this note I will be at Erudite. Just know that I am sorry, sorry I can't be in your future. But, please know I am always with you. After I'm gone please look after Mother, Father, Olivia, and Caleb. Let them know how much I love them. I have to go but know if I die you will be the last thing on my mind.

I fold the paper and put in on my pillow, kissing him on the head for the last time. I stand there for a few minute letting tears fall before running out of the castle. When I far enough I stop and change into a fairy. I take off making my way to Erudite. Proud of my decision.
