Name
Niamh. Username, irishrose.
Age
Seventeen. Well, eighteen very soon.
Gender
Female, last time I checked.
How did you find out about Wattpad?
I found out about Wattpad through one of my friends. Knowing that I like to read and write, he recommended it to me.
What is your favourite subject, you like to write about?
That’s difficult to say. I’ve dabbled in many genres (except for fan fiction, which I avoid like the plague). Let’s just say that the only subjects I won’t write about are werewolves, vampires, and whiny teenagers.
What was the last book you read?
Again, difficult to say; I have so many books on the go. But I think that the last one I read was In a Glass Darkly, by Sheridan Le Fanu.
Who are your favourite writers on Wattpad?
My favourite writers are you, TheOrangutan, and VenessaJinson. But I’m still looking for more favourites to add to my list!
Okay now that’s the boring stuff out of the way lets have some fun.
If you could have a theme tune following you about what would it be?
The Doctor Who theme tune, all the way. I think it’s obvious why – it’s awesome.
If you had three wishes what would you wish for?
Ooh, that’s tough. I’d probably wish for good health all my life (I absolutely hate medical procedures), the chance to apologise to everyone I’ve ever offended, and a pet dinosaur. Not a big dinosaur, just a little one I could take out for walks.
Have you ever worn sandals with socks?
Nope. I’m waiting until I’m older for that particular fashion statement.
If you could choose to be attacked by a Great white shark or a Lion what would it be?
Probably the lion. I like lions. I might not like one while it was mauling me to death, but still. Also, being attacked by a Great White might entail some drowning. I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer to be just mauled, not mauled AND drowned.
You get the opportunity to travel anywhere in time, where would you go?
Anywhere, if I get to travel with the Doctor! But if not with him, I’d like to go back and meet Shakespeare. As clichéd and typical as that is, I’d still nevertheless like to go have a beer and talk theatre with the Bard himself. After all, I’ll bet that he was a pretty fun guy.
What is your favourite drink?
I’m still underage, so I’ll say bubble tea. That stuff is addictive.
What is your favourite meal?
Sushi. Does that count as a meal?
Have you ever stolen anything? I wont pass it onto the police don’t worry.
With the exception of cookie dough my mother told me not to eat, no.
Have you ever worn other gender’s underwear?
Yes. Once. But let’s not get into it.
What do you like to do in your spare time, other than writing?
I listen to and play music a lot of the time. I’m also somewhat of a cinephile, so I watch movies a lot, too.
If you could travel to any planet in the system which would it be and why?
I’d probably travel to Venus. For a long time, it was thought to be “Earth’s twin” in the solar system. So I’d go there and show everyone how different from Earth it really is!
Would you climb the highest mountain or dive to the deepest parts of the ocean?
Probably climb the highest mountain. Sure, people have died on Everest, but my ears pop like crazy when I dive too deep.
How did you come across my profile page?
Like so many other writers you’ve interviewed, I’m going to have to blame this one on TheOrangutan. I was just checking out some of Gav’s stuff when I ran into your profile page.
What are you going to do after doing this interview?
Probably what I usually do. Which is writing.
Who is your favourite superhero and why?
I don’t really have one, but if I had to pick, I’d say Superman. When I was a kid, I sometimes used to watch Smallville. The superhero in that show is Superman, right?
What you working on right now?
In terms of writing, I’m working on two stories consistently (I have a whole bunch on the go that I don’t work on very much). One, The Child’s Father, which is a romance (yes, romance is my guilty pleasure) about the challenges a couple faces while trying to conceive their first child, and Inamorata, which is a science fiction piece about – well, I’m not telling. It’s going to be a surprise.
Where do you see you’re self in ten years time?
Hopefully done university and gainfully employed. But who knows? I could end up as the perpetual student and still be in grad school.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Nope. I think I’ve said it all.
Thanks for your time
Thanks to you, too!
