A few weeks after the guys left, the living room went back to looking like normal. The only trace that Sutton had known them were the pictures and video footage Cordelia had taken.
"Sutton? You have mail," Petunia called from downstairs.
Sutton got up from her bed, leaving the puzzle frames laying on her bed. She made her way downstairs, wincing at the regular, normal arrangement of the living room. She still hadn't gotten used to it.
Petunia handed her the picture, her mail of the day. The faces surprised her, but the caption didn't.
Sure, I'm positive you would love to explain why you ditched me, Sutton thought.
She wanted to rip it to shreds, throw it into the trash, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She slipped it into her back pocket.
Sutton went back to her room, deciding to do a video, considering she hadn't made one in awhile.
Liam got a notification from YouTube, SuttonJay88 posted a new video.
"You guys," Liam nudged Emery, Bailee, and Ricky. They looked at his phone as he pushed play on the video.
"Heyo, I'm Sutton and you clicked on this somewhat inspirational video of mine," her song intro played. "So, this isn't really a fun video. I just wanted to say that I'm tired of waiting for FIYM to explain why they left me. But I've thought it through, I'm going to write my own songs, since so many of you lovelies liked me doing covers over their songs. My main reason for this video is to tell you guys that you don't have to go with what everyone else does. Be your own person. Be a voice, not an echo." Sutton ended her video with that, leaving the guys and Bailee even more guilty.
There's a knock on the door as Cordelia, Maggie, Petunia, and Sutton sit at the table eating dinner. Why is it always dinner that someone comes knocking on their door?
"I got it," Sutton gets up, hopeful. She thinks its the guys, considering they showed up while she was having dinner, too.
She opens the door, not recognizing the person in front of her.
"Who are you?" Sutton asks, the hope drained out of her.
"Jon Klaasen, former member of FIYM, I heard about what happened," the person answered, a dangerous gleam in his bright blue eyes.
"And why are you here? Are you some FIYM stalker now?" Sutton said, getting annoyed.
"No, I'm here to help you," Jon answers.
"Help me what?"
"Help you forget the people who don't want you anymore."
"And just how are you going to do that? I don't even know you."
"Just listen."
