Fawnline, come and help me with the cow." Molly called. It was a beautiful fall day. Molly is my little sister. I knew she needed help to bring the cow to the valley to graze.

"Coming" I said. I raced from the forest and back to our farm. I pushed the barn doors open and saw Molly pulling on the cow's leash.

"The stupid cow won't budge." Molly exploded with anger. Her hands were red and puffy.

I gently led my sister's hands away from the leash and suggested, "Go see mama, your hands are swollen. You need some medicine."

"But I have to finish my chore" wailed Molly

" It's okay." I patted Molly on her back. "I'll do it."

"Okay." Molly sighed dragging herself out the barn door. I took Old Bess's ( the cow ) leash and pulled slightly.

"Come on girl," I encouraged, "Let's go get a snack." Old Bess followed me out of the barn. Everything was perfect. The sky was ocean blue and the cloud were as white and puffy as cotton balls. Then, suddenly the ground beneath me cracked open. RUMBLE! RUMBLE! I fell in.

"Come, Come! Come to us! For we have summoned you. Come, Come! Come to us! For we have summoned you." soft, hushed, raspy voices repeated over and over again. As, I dropped down and down and down, I looked up helplessly into the small ring of light above me. Then I saw a shooting star a few feet above me.

"Help!" I whispered as I looked at the shooting star, making a wish. Then I dropped to the ground, closed my eyes and fainted. All was still.
