Gone and Alone

I woke to the sweet chirps of the robins near my window. "What a nice day Molly look at the beautiful sunrise." I babbled happily, "We have to go now so start packing up." I paused to hear Molly's reply. The room was silent. I looked around the room and saw that everyone was gone."MOLLY! KRAKLE! Where are you!" I started sobbing uncontrollably. "Please - Molly - Come - Back - Here!" My whole body quivered as if I were about to lose my soul. "I can't lose you! Not you. You are my last family member that I can confide in. Dad is dead, Annabeth (Her older sister) is dead, mom has lost her mind and what about Jack! He has no one to help him." With that thought I knew that I was going to lose my mind, but I thought, Molly needs me to save her. Jack needs me to go back and care for him. I can't let anyone down. I have to stop crying and fight for my sister, for my family, for those who have passed on and for those who need help. It is the matter of life or death now.

I fished a knapsack out of Krakle's closet and started throwing things in. I took Athena's tiara and placed it in the bag. Then a water bottle, a container of meat and a map of Twilight Valley. I put Ares sword into the pack last and zipped the zipper. Finally I swung the bow and the sheath of arrows on my back and left the Maple Cave.

"This is my fight for my family and I myself will crush you evil people. You have to kill me first to get my precious ones." I yelled fiercely for all to hear, "You will die under my bow and arrows plus Ares sword." Then I walked proudly to the road. Suddenly I bumped into a black and white person with a glare of red in his eyes. "Oh. I'm-" I started to say.

"Guards! Capture her!" The man commanded in a sharp voice. The two dragons caught my arms as I tried to run away. I looked up in surprise.

"Mr. Burst, Kaelyn! What are you doing here? Do you know where Krakle, Mrs. Burst and Molly are? Are you saving me?" I asked.

"Sucker! Don't you even know? We are here to take you to the Death game. You are chosen to participate and you will be dieing. Right, Master Heron?" Kaelyn told I with a sly smile.

"Who's Master Heron?" I asked.

"I am." said the man in black and white. "I am Red Heron, the ruler 0f Twilight Valley. Everyone obeys me or plays the game to die. Now you two nobodies get that serum shot in her arm and get to the palace, pronto. I'll give you 10 minutes. If you don't get there quick enough you will be executed!!'

"Yes Master Heron." the two dragons saluted. Then the Master disappeared. "Now let's get to business. Darling, the syringe." Mr. Burst said. Kaelyn took a humongous syringe out of a suitcase and smirked.

"Good luck with the pain." She laughed evilly. Then Kaelyn stuck the syringe into my arm.

"Ahhhhh! Help me! Oww!" I cried out in agony. The pain felt like someone ripped my arm off. All I could feel was absolute pain and numbness. My vision blurred and soon, all I could see was darkness.

"Mission done." I heard Mr. Burst say to Kaelyn before she fell into deep sleep. "Now we just have to round up the others." What are they going to do to me? I thought as I slipped away from the rest of the world.

2 hours later...

"Fawn, wake up! Wake up!" I heard someone saying. I opened my eyes and looked around myself. Krakle and a few other people were crammed in a tiny jail cell.

"Where are we? Why are we here? Who are these other people? When am I going to go home? I'm scared. Where are we? Where are? Why? Why? Why?" I trembled as I spoke. "Please help me! Help me get out of here! I need my sister!!! I need her! I can't believe that your sister and dad took her away from. I need her! Please! She is my last hope. She is all of my heart. Your people took her and now you need to get her back for me."

"Fawn," Krakle said calmly, "I'm going to get you out of here. These people won't hurt you, but I am afraid I cannot get you Molly. She was in here before. Then some guards came and took her. I'm afraid I can't help you."

"What if- What if-" My thought was terrible." What if they are torturing her? Oh Molly, poor Molly. It is all my fault indeed."

"Oh yes, it is indeed." A voice said. That voice belonged to Red Heron. "Fawn I have made the decision that if you play my game and not lose, then you can get your sister and Krakle out of this place. I will also dissolve into dust the minute you win and you will be the rightful ruler of Twilight Valley. If you lose you will live in the dungeon forever and your family on, what's that place called again? Berth? Surf? Wait! It's called Earth. Your family on Earth will die if you lose. Do you agree to my deal?"

"I agree on one condition." I explained, "You will let everyone that is in my cell out of the dungeon and never disturb them again if I die. Deal?" The Master Fighter shook hands with Fawn and the deal was made. The Guards released her from the jail cell.

"Now That you are out of that cell. You are going to get a mentor in this game. You have to pick a greek god to talk to for one hour to learn some skills to use in the games." Red Heron explained in a harsh voice. "You have five minutes to decide starting now." I knew that I was going to choose between Athena and Ares.

"Think." I told myself. "Which one of them is more useful." Time flied by quickly, but I knew who to choose.

"Time is up. You have your decision?" Red heron asked with a sly look.

"Yes, I do. I pick Athena." I grinned. "And I will also need my knapsack."

"Very well." The Master said. "Guards, bring the girl's luggage." Soon enough, I had all her belongings by her side. I opened up my knapsack and rummaged through it.

"There it is." I cried. I took Athena's Tiara of Wisdom on and told the Heron,"I am ready to see the goddess, Red Heron."

"Okay." The man nodded. "Follow me to my fortress and guards, summon Athena.
