The Destiny Quest

"And you are wrong." sang a voice. I turned around and gasped. There were 3 Witches ... a coven. "I am Morgan Le Fay," said one of them, " and the other 2 are Jaden Grimm and Holly. Holly is the evil queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but she's not really a bad person, just in the story. Jaden is the great, great, great granddaughter of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, the brothers who collect great fairytales. We will guide you to save The Twilight Valley."

"How? How could it be? You are just myths and fairytales. How will you guide me? I am nothing, but a farm girl. I am just a shadow of the rich, I cannot be the one to save you." I cried.

"But you are." Jaden insisted, "Father Moon said you were the only person to save our land once more from the evil. Please do it! Please save our land!"

I thought and thought and thought and finally replied, "Fine, I will do it."

"Well said Fawn" Holly answered and she nodded at the other 2 in the coven. They started chanting,

"We have sent you here to save

our fate oh it is very true. You

shall do good oh very good to

save our kingdom indeed.

First go to the creature's cave

and then met your doom,it shall

be solved if you do it right,but

you need to be brave and be a hero.

If you fail to save Twilight Valley,

all will be gone and nothing will remain.

All you love will be disintegrated and gone.

Only if all is completed you may go home

Now it's time to start your Quest

and your lessons have ended

And on cue the 3 witches disappeared, but I wanted answers. "What does that mean?" I demanded, " What creatures? What cave? Why am I a hero? I'm nothing but my king's subject. Why is it me?" I sat down, dazed and overwhelmed. "I will not tell Molly." I decided, "It is too dangerous for her. I don't want something bad to happen to her." I stared out into the sunset waiting for my sister to come back. "I desperately want to forget this, but for the sake of my family and the innocent people of Twilight Valley, I might do this" A few moments later, Molly came back.

"Here," Molly thrusted a wooden bottle to me, "I carved this and filled it with water from the stream. I also found a village and they gave me some meat, bow and arrows to hunt with and a map of this place. I found out we are in Twilight Valley." I gulped down some of the water as Molly filled her on the things she learned.

"So is there anything else you want to tell me?" I yawned. Molly shook her head. "Then let's call it a night." I confirmed. Molly and I huddled tight and our eyes slowly closed shut.
