Let the Games Begin!!

Knock! Knock! Knock! The door sounded. "Come in." Red Heron said impatiently. The door creaked open revealing the goddess, Athena. "Hello Lady Athena." Red Heron snarled. "Hurry up."

"Heron, you must not call for me to mentor another one of your victims again." Athena glared at the man. "This young girl is not for you to taunt. She is not of age. You must return her to her home. This girl's family will be expecting her."

"Why, I don't need to do that. She doesn't have a home. All she has is the Burst family who B-E-T-R-A-Y-E-D her." Heron sounded out. "She has no one to run to. I can taunt her all I want and no one will care. She is just a pawn in my game, I don't even care if she is alive or not. No one will care for her ever again once she is part of my game."

"That is not true." I argued. "My sister will care about me. She has faith in me and I will not let her down. On the other hand, no one will care about YOU! The people who serve you only do it so they won't get harmed. They work for you under the condition of fear. You taunted all of them. You did. Lady Athena made me realize this. You taunted them all to make them listen to you and fight for you. If they were never put in your game. They would have never supported you. You are a lier. I will fight you until my last breath"

"Oh, so you wanna fight? So let it be. Choose one weapon of your choice and we will begin." Red Heron challenged.

"I cannot stand to watch this, I am leaving." Athena declared. With a snap she disappeared into a pool of light. I went into my knapsack and took out Ares sword.

"I am ready to fight you. Get your weapon out and we can begin." I roared putting on my warrior face. The Heron nodded and whipped out samurai sword.

"You can never defeat me. No one ever does." he said, "LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!" The Heron lashed his sword at me, but missed by an inch. I tried to strike Ares sword at Red Heron's chest, but was blocked by his sword. CLANG! BANG! SPLAT! Red Heron was closing in on me. I took a step back into the corner. Then another, then another until I was trapped. "Oh, the helpless little girl is trapped and will not live because I KILLED HER!" The Heron laughed. He lunged and slashed his sword at me cutting part of my skin apart.

"Ow! My arm!" I yelped. Blood was oozing out of my gash. I fell over, hugging my arm

"Serves you right for challenging me. Now all I have to do is finish you off and I can deal with the others." Red Heron raised his sword and brought it down. I held the sword slightly above my chest, preparing to die. I closed my eyes not wanting see the blade of the sword brought onto my body. The sword came down and CLANG! My eyes popped open and saw the Heron staring at me in disbelief. "How! How did you not die?! I am the greatest warrior of this land! No one ever survives my special attack, you have defeat me. NNNOOO!" Red Heron screamed as he dissolved into dust. After a few seconds, all that was left of the evil ruler was a pile of black and gray ashes with a hint of red. A flash of light flooded the room. I covered my eyes and looked through her fingers. Athena were standing before her. They smiled a warm smile at her.

"You have succeeded. The coven you have met are very excited and so am I. That makes you the rightful queen of Twilight Valley." Athena bowed down to me. "I shall make the announcement now, your highness." Athena walked towards the door.

Before the goddess could take two steps, I hollered, "Wait, Lady Athena."

"Yes, your highness? Also you don't need to call me Lady Athena. Just Athena." The goddess told me.

I took a deep breath and explained, "I don't want to become the queen. It would be an honor, but all I really want is to go home. I miss my mom and brother. I need to go home. I did this for Molly. I did this to save her. I refuse throne. I wish to be sent back to my farm instead with my sister."

Athena murmured in ancient greek over and over again. I felt a swirl of wind down by my feet. Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! and I was lifted off the ground. I got drowsy and fell asleep as the swirl of wind carried my sister and I home.
