Shadow into Lights

The Maple Wood Cave

"Molly, it's time to wake up." I cooed. "We have to get moving."

"Oof!" said Molly as she sat up. She rubbed her eyes. "Where are we going?"

"I studied the map. I think we should go here. It's The Maple Wood Cave" Suggested I as I pointed to the map. Molly nodded and they started their journey to the cave, step by step. We walked an hour and then another and then another.

Then Molly said, "Wait do you hear that?" I stopped and listened.

I hear that rustle in the bushes. I mouthed to Molly. I have a sword that can protect us. The two of us slowly walked to the bush, peeked through the cracks of the branches and leaves.

Suddenly, Molly yelled, "AAAAHHHH! A dragon! It's gonna eat us! Run for your lives!" I grabbed my sister's hand and tried to run away. Before they could take two steps, the dragon started speaking.

"Wait! I'm sorry I scared you. I won't hurt you. My name is Krakle Burst. I would like to be your friend." Krackle apologized. " Will you come over to my cave and have some hot tea and some sugar cakes?"

"Thank you for the invitation Krakle, but my sister and I are trying to find this cave. It's called the Maple Wood." Molly explained.

"Really? You're looking for that cave? That's my cave! It's very close. Let's get going!" Krakle exclaimed. Then the three new friends started off to the Maple Wood Cave. They were chatting happily like old friends, but that would not last forever. My friend and sister would vanish very soon. My heart will feel broken very soon. Very soon indeed
