I smoothed down my yellow blouse and readjusted my navy blue pencil skirt then grabbed my yellow leather Burberry. The skirt matching my Navy Louis Vuitton 5 inch heels. I pulled my mirror down from my Mercedes and did a quick check on my makeup. I wore a nude lipstick and had very light makeup on. Just some eyeliner and mascara and concealer. It was a basic look. But on a bad bitch. I pulled my phone out my bag and put my white Apple earphones on. I pressed the shuffle button on my phone and
Apparently by J.Cole began to play.

I got out my car and began my way into the office building. I had left Shawn back home he wasn't ready to leave and we had three cars for a reason.

You believe in me,

Apparently.

I knew I'd been gone a while, but there were so many new faces in the office. I was sure I hadn't just forgotten them. These were new faces.

I walked in and sitting at the front desk wasn't that pesky girl, Shawn's assistant, which I had moved to the front desk, her last name was Gomez I believe. But sitting in her place was this ugly ass, blonde chick, who was already looking me up and down with that big mole on her face.

"Donald!" I shouted loud and now everyone, not just blonde chick, turned to look at me.

And only in a matter of seconds, Mr. Glover was in my presence.

"Ms. Knowles!" He gave me a crooked smile and hugged me in a friendly way.

"Well hello to you too!" I smiled at him.

" So much has changed, we got interns and I'm no longer an assistant, if you remember, I work in an actual room now Ms.Knowles. And we've given so many new people jobs, it's so diverse now and I feel so-"

"Cool, where'd that Latina go? Why was she replaced. She was the greeter and I didn't agree-"

"Oh Selena! You're-Mr. Carter came and he well, she got fired."

"Why? That girl was always here on time she was one of the most hard working people in this building. Who is that?" I asked only defended her because the girl sitting in the front, did not belong there.

"Oh that's Amethyst, she's from Australia. But she goes by Iggy."

I returned that up and down and then fake a smile thing she'd done to me.

"Okay well follow me to my office." I sighed still starring directly into the eyes of this white bitch. She had to go .

"Ms. Knowles, I can't I'm not your assistant anymore." He stated firmly. And with confidence.

"Oh. Who is then?" Moving my attention towards the end of the hallway I began walking to my office.

"Um, you have, Alessia Cara as your assistant and Tory Kelly as an intern."

"Was this of Shawn's doing?" I questioned.

He was giving me all females, because he's way too overprotective .

"Yes, Mr.Carter did this. So I think that you'd be happy with who he put you with. He seems to know you best."

With that Donald gave me a small genuine smile and left me alone to walk into my office. Two girls sat on the couch one holding a Starbucks cup and the other nibbling on a Snickers Bar.

"Are you Alyssa?" I asked the girl who had lighter skin than myself and blonde curly hair, holding the cup.

" No I'm Tori. I've heard so much-

"So you must be Alyssa. My new assistant! I need you to pick up these for me." I  interrupted that Tori Kerry girl, because I was definitely not in the mood to talk to her.  I pulled a neatly folded piece of notebook paper out my Burberry, and handed it to Alyssa.

She was also lighter than me but she was darker than Tammy and had black  medium length curly hair.

" Be back in an hour thirty. That's right before Happy Hour." I told her and motioned my hand for her to leave.

Teri stood there standing still. She looked wealthy. Wearing a white Alexander McQueen blouse and tight, dark, jeans by Prada.

"Where'd you grow up?"

"I grew up in TriBeCa, New York. With my Mom and my Grandparents. "

She was wealthy.

"What about your father?"

"He moved out when I was 5, he lives with his other family in Bel Air. " She explained to me.

I looked down at her black flats. They were Gucci . Like her black purse that slung over her left shoulder.

"You want to be a business woman when you get older?"

"Well, yeah."

"Well then the first thing I believe you should learn, is that you aren't here to make friends. If you want to be the CEO of a major company, you have to put your needs first. In order to do that you have to be confident, a little blunt, show little to no emotion, but look fierce all at the same time. "

She nodded in agreement with me.

"So I want you to go to the front desk, and fire Amelia."

"You mean Amethyst?"

"Did I ask you to correct me? No." I glared at her.

"Now run along, and fire her."

I glared at her until she sighed and left my office building.

I forgot how much fun being the boss was.
