I watched Shawn as he checked us into a hotel. Then moved my attention towards my phone, I was playing that stack game.
"Bey."
"What?" I said still concentrating on getting the squares to fall perfectly into the one that came before it.
"Look at me." Shawn whined.
"But...I need to beat my high-"
"Giselle." He scolded me calling me by my middle name.
"Yes Mr. Carter?" I rolled my eyes, turned my phone off, then put it in my back pocket. Giving Shawn my full attention.
"Look, we've been through a lot of crazy shit together. When I met you in the office I never thought that cute girl and I would make some beautiful kids together, and see things that most people will never see ever. And God, we've been through the death of one of our offspring, but I'm glad God gave me you to go through it with. I don't think I could've made it without having you in my life. We've had our ups and downs. And I've made plenty of mistakes, and I thank the heavens that you somehow found it in your heart to forgive me. I'm grateful for that, and you. When I met that cute girl in the office, I never thought that I would fall in love with her. And now, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles," I watched as Shawn got down on one knee, drawing attention towards us. People around started gasping. I put my hand over my mouth. Not believing what was happening.
"Shawn..." I quietly managed to say in a state of shock. I felt my eyes get watery.
"I've decided I want to spend the rest of my life with that cute girl right by my side, so will you do the honor of being mine forever, and marry me Beyoncé?" I nodded my head yes and let Shawn put the ring on my finger. I let my tears fall as Shawn got up and picked me up in his arms and spun me around before kissing me.
