A few days have past and they are still mad at each other. Owlpaw thought as she watch Lightfur and Shallowcreek pass each other while giving each other a growl. A few moons have pasted sense the Gathering, Silverpaw and Dawnpaw told Owlpaw that Shallowcreek and Lightfur got into a fight at the Gathering. A small drop of rain fell from the sky, then it started to drizzle. Owlpaw sighed, she noticed Silverpaw and Dawnpaw padded over to her. "Owlpaw?" Silverpaw began "Why does Lightfur hate kittypets as much as Thornpelt? Did she get beaten by one in a fight like Thornpelt?". Owlpaw licked her paw then looked back at her friend in confusion, "I'm not sure, I wasn't there when Shallowcreek joined and became a apprentice" then she lifted her tail up, "How about asking Shrewheart? She is best friends with Lightfur and I think she would know what happened between Lightfur and kittypets" the calico she got up and padded towards the warriors' den, Silverpaw and Dawnpaw followed. As they reached the warrior's den, Shrewheart just came out. "Excuse me, Shrewheart?" said Dawnpaw. Shrewheart turned towards the three apprentices, she glanced at Silverpaw, "What do you want? Can't you see i'm busy" she said in a cold voice. "Your acting just like Lightfur," Dawnpaw said. "So?" the dark warrior said. "That's not a good position to be right now," Dawnpaw meowed, "we wanted at ask you why Lightfur hates kittypets". Shrewheart snorted, "Why should I tell you?".

Silverpaw stepped up, "Because if you don't then I will tell Shallowcreek and then he'll be mad at you as well" she said with annoyance in her light blue eyes. Owlpaw looked past Shrewheart to see Lightfur, sleeping, not knowing what was happening to her best friend. Then she looked back at the she, Shrewheart sighed. "Fine, i'll tell you," she began "when Shallowcreek first joined, Lightfur didn't notice him much. Then she slowly began to notice him when ever he attacked a badger twice his size or come back with a fat rabbit clutched between his jaws. As they became warriors, Lightfur though it was time to tell Shallowcreek how she felt towards him...". Owlpaw's ear twitched, "So... Lightfur loved Shallowcreek?" she said in a surprised voice. "Yes, she loved him. One day Lightfur thought it was time to tell him, when she padded over to him she stopped dead in her tracks to find Shallowcreek, cuddling with other she" Shrewheart said, "Was the she Tigerbelly?" Silverpaw said with her ears folded down. Shrewheart nodded, "Lightfur was devastated, so she started to hate him everyday of her life. When she sees a kittypet she thinks of the tom who betrayed her, and her heart breaks more and more each time" she said and sat down.

"I thought Shallowcreek didn't like Lightfur?" Dawnpaw said, titling her head. "He didn't know that Lightfur liked him, he only thought of her as a friend... well once a friend." Shrewheart said, then she got up "Now if you would please go, I have important business to intend to and I don't want to be disturbed" and with that she left the trio at the warriors' den. Owlpaw licked her paw then washed her face, "Well... that was more then I expected" she joked. Dawnpaw nipped her ear with her white paw, Owlpaw slowly rubbed her ear with her paw. "I have to go get some chervil leaves for Shortleaf again, Duskwing has come down with a bellyache. She must have eaten some crowfood or something like that" Dawnpaw said, she got up and slowly padded over to the entrance. "Wait!" Silverpaw said, Dawnpaw stopped and turned towards the silver and white tabby. "Don't you get them near the Thunderpath? Can I go with you then?" she said. The cream and white she shook her head, "No, I go near the Thunderpath all the time. Nothing happens. I usually wait till the monsters past before I collect the herbs" then in a heartbeat she raced out of camp. Owlpaw padded over to Silverpaw, "Since Dawnpaw is gone," she crouched "do you want to practice fighting?". Silverpaw looked past her, the calico apprentice turned to see her friend was looking at Hawkclaw, who was talking to another warrior. Then she looked back at Silverpaw, "It can get you towards a warrior faster!" she said.

Silverpaw meet Owlpaw's gaze, the she nodded and Owlpaw smirked. "Ok then, get into your fighting stance!" she said. Silverpaw dropped onto a fighting stance, he tail stuck straight out behind her. Owlpaw let out a yowl and leaped at her opponent, Silverpaw rolled on her back, ready to kick her away. The apprentice landed a few feet in front of the silver and white she and kicked batted her. Silverpaw go up and let out a cough, then charged at her. Owlpaw watched Silverpaw's muscle, how they were moving in a pattern, when a cretin muscle on the she's body bunched Owlpaw knew what to do. She ducked under the apprentice's swing and batted her side, Silverpaw took a few steps backwards then raced at Owlpaw again, this time she leaped over her and rammed her side. Then she leaped in front of her and kicked her away, Owlpaw hit the side of the tree stump. The sound of her hitting the stump echoed in camp. A few cats looked at the two apprentices, "What in StarClan is going on over here?" said Mudscar who was racing over to the two, he looked at Silverpaw who looked at her paws. Owlpaw slowly raised to her paws, "I'm sorry Mudscar! We were only just practicing our fighting technics! We didn't mean to cause any disruptions!" Owlpaw quickly said. The deputy looked at her, there was a long silence before Silverpaw meowed, "Yes, I didn't know that I could actually hurt Owlpaw! Please forgive me!" she dipped her head respectfully.

Mudscar looked at the apprentice, "You have to be more careful next time," he said then looked at Owlpaw "and as for you, go see Shortleaf". Owlpaw nodded and padded away, she looked behind her to see Hawkclaw, looking like he was scolding Silverpaw, who held her head down and her tail between her legs.
